First saw the announcement, and went "ok, that's nice. Can't wait to see newcomers react to the original story".

Then I played the trailer, Oversoul started and immediately went "SHAMAN KING!! AHHHH!!!!"

You-know-who showing up at the end. I can only imagine how many fans felt seeing that.

Because the first anime was lackluster (but not bad). Shaman King overall deserves another shot. An anime that can truly live up to the manga's potential (same thing that can be said for the manga in my signature).

But don't change the songs. Takei is right when he request to use the same songs for the new anime. They're epic.

Not just old songs, I recall Takei insisted a remake must use the old voice actors too (which the studio found too expensive).

Personally, I've finished Shaman King a long time ago. I'm no longer interesting in seeing this one, especially after what happened to Soul Eater NOT!.

it confirmed to be full rework based on the complete edition of manga. basically brotherhood treatment

Actually I didn't have problems with the old anime. I considered both of them good as their own thing, even if yes, the manga was overall superior. Oversoul Friendship is Magic in the final battle with the soundtrack Tamashii Kasanete has still a place in my heart.

Even so, I don't going to complain for an manga adaptation with so many fucking great things,

Funny, I was just listening to full versions of the Japanese Openings yesterday and then this happens.

I've only watched the anime through the English Dub (Which was decent by 4Kids standards), but I have read the whole manga, so count me in.
