This isn't Bake related but since there isn't really a Nisio Isin thread I thought this was the closest-related one. Anyways, I've just read a tiny bit of Shoujo Fujuubun and it seems to be a mixture of fiction and non-fiction. The MC is an author and Nisio seems to be putting his thoughts as an author into this book. All in all I think the book was pretty good. For those lucky enough to be able to read it you should.

EDIT: Something interesting that I want to point out. In the novel the MC describes stories that he came up with and the description for one of them was "a story about a hypocrite that saved a dying monster and the vampire that fell in love with him."

Just a quick question for the next novel, or is it the last of the series? titled "Hitagi End". Does that mean the end of Hitagi (death) or an ending with Hitagi. I've read through the thread and found it personally difficult to fully grasp. I read somewhere way earlier that she's proven to be alive but I don't understand how. What I'm really asking is if there's a possibility of Hitagi's death. Just getting something off my mind as I am personally, not too fond of unhappy endings.

I have yet to read Onimonogatari, but I don't think in Bakemonogatari somebody will ever die (except for people who are already dead).

Senjougahara was proven alive from Hanamonogatari, which has Kanbaru as a main character and is chronologically placed after Araragi's graduation.

The last story is titled Hitagi End possibly because it was supposed to be the last book in the series, although I've heard Nisio would like to do a third season.

Oh I see, thanks for the quick reply. Also, does Koyomi undergo any character development throughout the novels? (physically and mentally). I've read other girls have their appearances changed slightly (hair) and was wondering if Koyomi has any changes because I despise how his hair covers his whole freaking left eye! It's just a bit long

. Mentally, does his perverted ways changed and what about in his relationship. Hitagi seems to be playing a "lead" role in the relationship and was wondering if Koyomi ever takes the initiative?

His hair grows a bit long by the time Hana rolls around because he wanted to cover up the bite mark on his neck. Mentally he isn't as distant as he was in Kizu. Back in Kizu he was an emo loner that hated having friends but when in Nise is even bragged about having five friends.

I've been wondering about this for a while: in the anime (either Nadeko or Kanbaru) mentions that Shinobu looks at girls differently than she looks at Koyomi and Oshino; is this ever mentioned in the novels and why she does this? And why she isn't bothered by Koyomi dating Hitagi like Tsubasa and the others are?

Yea, it's sorta weird. As for why she looks at girls differently is probably because of jealously but as the same time she knows Araragi likes Hitagi so she's not going to go against his wishes. She's definitely not on good terms with Nadeko at least. Even I have to admit that she was being a douche to Nadeko in Otori.

It's great that the recent volume topped the charts but the beef I have with this article is that it says the series is concluding in December which isn't 100% conclusive. There are still questions unanswered and it's unlikely all of them will be answered by the next book. Nisio also considered season three so lets not cutting ourselves off just yet.

The most you can get is what Senjougahara said to Araragi at the end of Nisemonogatari 1. It's something like "to be gentle to me tonight"

It's up to your imagination what would happen next.

Personally I find this very interesting since what this means is that Shinobu is no longer the strongest bring in the world. The fact that there are rules that Kaiis need to abide makes it so that there are restrictions to what someone can and cannot do. Of course this also shows that destroying the world and turning everyone into zombie is within the laws.

About Hitagi, well, actually I'm really worried about Nadeko. Nisio did it well avoiding to talk about her in Hanamono. I don't want her to die. I mean, everyone has a second chance, but well, I can't denie that I want to see someone to die in this novels.

It'd be a disappointment if it isn't since I've read many explicit scenes quite detailed in Nisemonogatari. To not write it would make me cry when you've already gone so far Nisio.
