I think the title of this thread will tell you exactly what reading all this stuff has come off as: http://www.head-fi.org/t/542281/nufo...s#post_7314785
Also lol: http://www.head-fi.org/t/584763/heir...0#post_8144761 Seems he's interested in self-promotion to his blog. But comparing the udac2 to my normal people stuff, it's no contest. The distortion arguments were interesting, I won't test them because setting the volume to the "12 o clock" setting is HOLY SH17 loud. I had also looked at the E7 but ultimately decided on this.

I don't believe anything I read on Head-fi. It's not objective at all; the only reason it exists is to make money off of people who don't know anything about science, and Jude protects his sponsors even when they are legally in the wrong (see the whole Schiit Asgard controversy). The fact that double-blind testing is a bad word for Head-fi'ers means they're little more than snake oil salesmen.
The uDAC isn't terrible, but it's akin to Bose headphones--it's awfully expensive for being just "not terrible," especially when you can get a FiiO E10 for a lot cheaper.

The FiiO E10 from Amazon runs around $64. I'm not sure how much you paid for the uDAC-2, but I've usually seen it for over $100.

Whoa, the reviews on there say it's got some pretty subpar build quality. Problems from the jack being loose, deteriorating sound over time, left channel cutting out.
Also, which have you tried personally? ed: -> convo moved to messaging.

The English-translated Mardock Scramble collection with the 3 novels in one. Got stuck for this series after the two first movies.
And Jormungand Volume 9. Which marks the first time I ever bought a manga.

My first artbook (and I think my first post on this thread). After missing the preorder for this, I was finally able to obtain it brand new (had to spend a bit more though). Favorite thing I've bought recently. I wasn't expecting the hardcover so when it arrived I got a nice surprise. It was definitely worth every penny!

just bought this laptop today:
Qosmio X870-BT3G23 Laptop - i upgraded the 750 gb to 1tb and added the carrying case+free mouse = $1166 (tax included already) the price was too good to pass up on. anyways, i spent WAY too much this month. my wallet is starting to cry bloody tears! the laptop should be deliver by 12/07/2012. it's more beastly than my desktop. can't wait for this laptop to arrive. and it looks pretty COOL as well.
