Although I'm no Lacus fan, the others on that list don't really compare anyway.

Lacus is nothing compare to Haman. Lacus is wannabe Haman, she even copy her hair color.

Uh oh... character battle warning! Character battle warning!!

Although last time I checked, Haman had purplish color for her hair while Lacus is straight-arrow pink...

- Tak (And while the two characters' differences are profound, this is not the thread for it)

I only watched one episode (ok, 10 minutes) of Code G, but this guy Lelouch seemed like a contrived "ohhh so cewl" guy with that aura of holy leetness shining for no reason other than being a main character. (this is from the chess match) The ridiculousness of that whole exchange absolutely blew me away.

But Lacus still wins, that is good. (Yah I know the poll's demographic breakdown is probably hugely skewered toward the younglings)

um... further proof of how shallow japanese fans are?

I'm surprised Haruhi stuck around the top though.

lelouch is more like the kira form death note

but yes... Code Geass...the director really seems to like Gundam seed/d...there are some elements "borrowed" from gundam and a few other anime

this one really made me rofl

Holy s*** justice, Batman!

well it was more the he can laugh like shinn ... (but shinn did laugh after "killing" kira)

don't know if lelouch is like raito/kira because I only watched the first episode, but with his ability ... and the laugh ... he's already pretty psycho.

back to topic
I haven't watched haruhi or code g. but what I heard is enough that I wonder how can they vote for such a show

Didn't we all go through the whole POPULARITY =/= QUALITY issue like a million times when people whined over Kira's TOP 2 dominance in like...every poll (( He still does ))? Besides, the SEED franchise and Haruhi are argubly the 2 biggest booms of the Japanese anime market in recent years. Even if *insert obscure anime #45645 that is awesomely great, but only like 5% of entire otakus watch it* may be infinitely better than Haruhi or SEED or Death Note, who's going to vote for it if no one knows about it?

People watch Terminator movies for all it's B-ness, Kamen Rider still exist till this day for 35 years even for it's Kamen Rider-ness, stuff that will not win Oscars and awards for best storyline/characters are loved worldwide.

Hell, the fact that GINTAMA and GINTOKI and KIRA YAMATO are in the polls make me a happy man. I could really care less about the rest.

Lelouch is closer to Griffith than he is compared to Light anyway.

[Kirafanboyism]Heh, if L at no.9 can get his own spin-off movie, DEATH NOTE GAIDEN, why not a Kira spin-off? Kira's Deleted Affairs? Kira : THE ORIGIN?[/Kirafanboyism] :>

I prefer rocker girls like Suzumiya Haruhi than pop princesses like lacus.

I was shocked when black lagoon is one position higher than deathnote.I thought deathnote is supposed to be popular here.

The fact that Code geass and SHNY are the top 2 animes in Japan is good.

Uncut uncensored Kira/Fllay sex tape? I wouldn't mind, as long as there is more Fllay in it anyway.

ah, Kira after Fllay? Nah, he would just sit there in the rocking chair. =/

Hehe, sorry to burst your bubble there, but did you know Terminator II actually won an Oscar?
