Didn't the same sega guy said that yakuza 3 was still in discussion when everyone said it won't be coming to the west. I am not sure how much poking power he has, but unlike yakuza 3, which was under review at that time, VC3 seems to be a close case for sega japan.
To be honest I don't really care anymore, give us Shining Blade and I will forgive them. |

I can't remember where I saw it (maybe posted on the VC facebook group) where the sales of the original VC in the West weren't very stellar and those of the sequel were even worse.
I guess it'd take more than a few thousand pledges to convince SEGA to localize what could from a sales standpoint be another flop. Just sayin'.

Unless there is a team that can be officially recognized by Sega in order to translate the game, for free I might add (after actually buying the Japanese version), then we have a chance of getting this game here. A few PC games and PSP games make it to our western hemisphere more often that way.
But companies make games to make money. We have some people who genuinely support and love the art of game-making. That's great. But when you don't have money to fund it, and you don't make money, you have an issue. And Valkyria Chronicles isn't the most highly sought-after title on the market. There better be some hardcore advertising or something for Valkyria Chronicles 3 in Europe and the US at least, if they plan on releasing it our way...

If they just want to do the VC2 numbers, then 200000 clicks. Funny thing, VC sold more in NA in general, whereas VC2 sold more in Japan. In europe VC2 sold better than VC. |

I don't think there's a chance in hell we're getting VC 3 localized. Now, if only there were fan translators out there interested in the game, but as much as I love VC, it has a very, very, very small western fanbase.
