Chibeato is definetly a Golden Witch like Eva, Natsuhi's going to be the main adult (Like in Episode I) and Battler seems a lot more aggressive (Ange's Death scene show that it is the main trigger).

By the way, can someone tell what the 7/12 on the portrait means?

Chibeato: Her eyes are fluorescent at a moment like Virgilia... but also like Maria in the first OP!! (Remember when she was in front of Beatrice's portrait!)

yeah... this OP is just pure awesomeness... does anyone think that the dispelling of the 'thing' (don't really know what to call it) around the island at the end, means Battler wins or something of the sort? The title pretty much supports it too.... but it's too soon for him to win so...

The OP is really nice. Although I am not sure that the song's genre feel right... I agree I was expecting a classical/opera-like OP much like the previous song.

The sequence is a lot of win, just like the OP of alliance of the golden witch.
That said, even if I think the song is good, it is kinda out of place with the mood and the franchise (a bit too J-pop like Ace said, though I'm not that bothered I guess ).

That... Rika look-alike is certainly yet another psycho witch (well the portrait sure hinted this way with the gloomy background) though I wonder how she will be inserted in the "real world".
Another point that really pumped me was... Battler with a red blade. Probably the red truth, but here, he looks like he might brawl in the witch side (a combo with Kanon and Battler would be excellent!).

My only gripe is that Shikata Akiko didn't do the OP but give it a chance.

Anyway, that scene with Beato and Battler in "White Land", it looks like Beato's hair is down or more scattered than usual.

Also that bit where Beato and Battler is reaching for each other. The scene after that is Bern's and Lambda's silhouette in the background with the chessboard breaking. A foreshadowing?

Love the new song (I'm not getting a j-pop feeling from it.. it feels kinda epic and the choir at the beginning and end is superly awesome <3), love the opening sequence, room open for speculations.. ~ I hope we'll get a lot of scenes with Battler and Beato and for the chessboard itself.. I expect very twisting events ~

The two grabbing a hold of Battler are Lucifer - I think? - (Pride) and Asmodeus (Lust).

The new opening is awesome. I really do like the song, however I prefer the old style for umineko. It's a bit strange to hear such kind of music in connection with this game. |D'

Seems like the new witch isn't going to be all nice and cute~ fuck yeah. Anyway, I wonder what the 3 'flying' lights were for? Due to the colours I would say Bernkastel and the new witch used to be together until 34 bumped into them?
