I figure ethnicity would factor in for most people though

As for myself, I've entertained thoughts about some obscure, mythological, or just plain made up names. (for example, a couple of names from The Tower of Druaga, like "Uruk" and "Anu" come from Sumerian mythology; some of those sound pretty good to me)

I actually knew a guy with the last name "Fear" once. He actually said he was thinking of going all the way and getting a PhD specifically because of that.

HAHA that's amazing!

I don't really have any "favorite" last names... never thought about it.

I had a teacher in high school named Mr.Finger, and in elementary I had a speech therapist (I had a stutter as a kid) named Mr.Word, always thought those were pretty funny.

I like the names you listed but I like my surname the way it is, I wouldn't change it but I do prefer the name Hawthorne.

I like the surname "Bosse" quite a lot. He's one of the german analysts I keep in touch with at work. I'd have loved to be named BOSSE. Sounds so much like Boss

The best surname I've ever heard is Gar, for obvious reasons. Victor Gar. Yes, that is a name you don't want to mess with.

I like my last name a lot. I've already been penned my father's old nick name of "Barbeque" so that's even better.

I've actually been thinking about changing my last name to my middle name, which is my father's first name: O'Neal. To honor my dad. But it seems like such a hassle.

MCLovin

The Best and the only Correct answer is McLovin . One time drunk I actually considered changing my name to that . A truly bad-ass name which is a sure shot magnet for the ladies . You can even say something cheesy like ' You haven't actually felt love till you had arr McLovin ' and get away with it . McLovin !!!!

A couple of names I really liked of my classmates;

But still I prefer my own, "Grylls" ;D
