I had hoped, particularly after the first episode, that KyoAni was going to do more with Sunohara than they've shown so far. He has the ability to be more than just comic relief, and I hope that we start to see that at some point.

Not that I had any problems laughing at what happened to him in this episode

Did you guys catch the reference to Little Busters? Maybe KyoAni will be doing that game in the future.

Either way you follow the series much closer than one would think for a person that doesn't like the show.

I agree... it's the little details like this that make me enjoy KyoAni works.

It's easy if you think about it. He's not following the show cause he likes it; he's doing it so he can criticize it and appear sophisticated for not following with the rest of the pack. Leave him be and let him have his self-esteem fix. Or just put him on your ignore list and do away with the problem altogether.

It's a very playful tune. I love the part where introduction goes into the body with a long, lazy slur (on the 23rd note, if you'd like to count), not to mention the violin is one of my favorite music instrument.

That image is probably more of a homage than a piece of hidden advertising. After all, it means nothing (Clannad characters only) to those who aren't already familiar with the gameplay of Little Busters!

I like Sunohara so far. He's like the troublemaker no one takes seriously. Reminds me of some idiot friends from high school.
Ryou was seriously moe in this ep, and I can see why Kotomi has so many fans too. It's almost a shame there are so many characters since there is so little time to bring them out.

edit: Now that I think about it, it will be annoying with so many characters. Every week I'll be waiting--"whose stories will they go into?""whoa, that lead in really has me hooked on (girl)'s story""how many weeks until I get to see more of (girl)'s arc?!" Would it be much simpler to just get a copy of Clannad and play it? Maybe I should go sit in a corner until next Thursday.

A nice episode overall. The characters interactions never cease to amuse me (well... except for Kotomi's and Tomoyo's who seem to be getting the lower end of the stick for now, for the rest it is a big thumb up from me). It seems that they'll go the route path after all, but as long as they manage to fit Nagisa somehow throughout the series (something like the Kanon manga, but better done) it will be all for the better.

And yay for the easy to follow Japanese. It rises my self esteem to be able to understand almost everything without having to rewind too much

Anti-KyoAni actually.

If by chance we see one or a few more LB references in future episodes then I wonder if it'll be okay to start speculating on a future LB anime.

I can't wait to see that little reference. XD Can't wait to see the "confession" scene too, along with the inevitable Oneechan powaa scene with Kyou. XD Looks like a nice ep, and seems like Tomoyo's story is finally proceeding beyond the combo kicks.
