Episode 5 was definitely better than the last. I very much enjoyed the mood and story of the episode. Still not much progress in the overall plot but there's no need to worry just yet.

This is odd. In the recap, Isao speaks Japanese in front of foreign delegates? And that Indian and other delegates are speaking Japanese? O_O

Spoiler for Aoi's girlfriend and credits:

It seems that Aoi's girlfriend (or wife, idk, in the ED, I saw the wedding picture) also has an ability (idk, she turn off the lights in the credits while Japanese officials are having a meeting?)

And in the credits, it seems that the Japanese officials who met Aoi's girlfriend in the credits blew up the railway. Hence, the Mukden incident. I think. Anyway, I'll wait for the real episode 7 to stream online to see if this adds up.

Well episode 5 was brutal. Goes to show the life of a double agent isn't all glitz, glamor, sex and shaken martinis. You could easily be shot to death inside a bath house in front of naked, sweaty and fat men. Not a good way to die

because that girl has the ablility to see the future and her kind (i guess sacred priests) had influenced the Japanese politics since ancient time, mentioned by one of the officers, she definately plays an important part in this series

and good news is the DVD/BD realease may have everyone speaking only Japanese

@klare: I don't think if it's really confirmed that the girl's ability is really to see the future since the Japanese officials believe that she's a prophet. Anyway, we'll just see.

I manage to watch episode 7

Spoiler for episode 7:

Aoi and his gang are not present in this episode. Instead, we got historical figures playing as the main characters along with the two reporters. Aoi's lover also appears here. But she didn't influence the Japanese officials to bomb the railway. Rather, she tells them to reconsider their decision.

Eventually, the Japanese officials bombed the railway. Plus, the reporter decided to report that Chinese are responsible for the incident. And eventually this lead to the establishment of Manchukuo.

Epi 6 was great though the guy from India voice reminded way too much of Kaiba from YGOAB so I kept expecting him to say "Screw the rules! I have money!" so some of the intensity of the scene was lost on me

Zura's fight was great and I cant wait to see more of how Aoi's girl fits into all this.

did the meeting really happen IRL ? it seems plausible since many well known revolutionaries in my country (french indochina) did try to go to Japan/China to learn the secret on how to build a strong country that can rival all of the world superpower.

It's funny, even though everyone except the Indian man spoke broken English in the episode, the accents sounded familiar (like, someone from Asia who wasn't Japanese who was trying to speak English). Then again, my knowledge of accents is pitiful so I'm probably totally wrong there.
Anyway, why did Yukina's brother leave Aoi in the room for the meeting? I understand he wanted to lure him to his side but it doesn't seem like expected it to work and he must know who Aoi reports back to.
And the teleportation fight was pretty awesome, wish it had been a little longer though.

Anyway, anyone watching episode 5 should take a shot everytime the awesome Comintern, the sexy KMT and the glorious CCP is mentioned.

Yeah, I came twice just for hearing these three parties mentioned and getting cameos. Kept on shaking my fist and yelling '國民黨' over and over when the magnificent KMT was mentioned. So in honour to the men who contributed to the rise and rise of China, let us now sing to the Motherland!!
