What's amazing about episode 12 is the number of times Ichika survived because the villains clearly had the opportunity, but did not kill him.

I think it's best to imagine season 2 never happened. It's all a bad dream.

It could have a better ending. I was experting something cool not rush, but I like the fight though.

On the surface I'm inclined to agree regarding the fight scenes. Especially the one with the girls working together against Madoka (she really is a terrible psychopath, hard to see a positive end for her) was nice. The ending, however, was terribly scripted and executed. All in all this fight was much inferior to the one against the Silver Gospel, in my opinion.

The episode itself, poor, just poor. Nothing answered, just a fight plus some fanservice. Phantom Task runs away, Ichika once again proves to be incompetent. Well, a reflection of the entire season. Just terrible, the only reason I didn't drop it was my affection for the characters stemming from season 1 and the seiyuus. I'll leave it at here, the rest to follow in a thread about the season if there is one. Hard to fathom a third season coming with how butchered this season was. And honestly, seeing how 8-bit screwed it up I also don't think there should be a season 3.

How many people got killed in this episode? Dozen?

I was so disgusted and caught off guard that I forgot whether they're students or teachers, and no fucking way I had to rewatch the episode

I.S. magic, actually

At least they stay consistent and Ichika is not the only one with plot armor

well... I was also disappointed...

Ichika still weak, Houki is OP, and all girls facing ONLY one enemy
Tatenashi isn't as OP as when first time she appeared
the fanservice at the end also lame

well, from Tabane's words, I think she might become the true Villain in the end of series

season 2 just took most of my interest toward this anime
I don't really care about season 3 if they didn't give any significant development

well, at least I enjoyed some part of this season

Yeap, it's I.S. magic. They can fire beam weapons all over the place and turn a densely populated city into a free fire warzone. Yet, not a single person died.

My guess is that the anime producers did not want to complicate the story with "Yay, we stopped Phantom Task, but a bunch of people died. So sorry about that"

Ugh. We learn absolutely nothing new about the Orimura imouto, Phantom Task, and Chifuyu's relationship to them, THEN they added white haired girl as well. Blech that left a bad taste in my mouth.

I know IS is a show where you turn off your brain when watching but... there's just too many facepalm scenes here...

Kinda reminds me near the end of the first season...

It's far worse than the first season. Far worse.

IS, taking disappointment to a whole new level. IS S2 is just a copy and paste of S1 because they ran out of material, and the animations is obviously lazy work.

Alright, this episode just seals IS2 as one of the Most Disappointing Animes of 2013.

I don't even know where to begin on this, but to say the least;

I'm so glad that I have Log Horizon and Walkure Romanze to exorcise, wash out, cleanse and purify my Saturday Night Anime line-up of a Giant-Ass Trainwreck known as IS2.

Actually, "Giant-Ass Trainwreck" is an understatement...

IMPO, I believe that the match against the Silver Gospel from the previous season was better executed in terms of suspension thrill and explosive action. Of course, I do feel grateful that the writers pull out all the seriousness they can flick at in the season's finale episode once Phantom Task and Madoka began to rampage. However, the tone and mood at how they closed this season felt to me more like just your average episode of the week. In contrast, the previous season's last episode was given closure in a way one could tell a story arc was properly finished in the plot.

BTW, I cannot buy the last gag involving Ichika at the hot spring bath. Seriously, the inn keeper forgot to switch the male and female signboards? Honestly, that was forcing a gag out at putting Ichika into a very compromising and dangerous situation.
It would have been different if the bath was a mixed one, and Ichika doze off too much into the hot water without realizing that the schedule time for boys was over, and it was turn for girl's time to use the bath.

Best Episode ever! Mwahahaha. Nah, Season 1 was better, by far.

I mean... nothing really happened in S2 (and Season 1 is not really known for the Story... lol).

Ha, I hate this kind of "ending"... well... Maybe Season 3 can fix it

Tabane said she wonders if Chifuyu appreciated her gift. The other girl said yes more than the drones.

With the zero casualties those were drones? I thought Madoka was killing IS pilots left and right.

Well I was wondering who hacked and fired every nuclear ballistic missile at Japan with the White Knight conveniently taking them all out.

White Knight is obviously Chifuyu.

I'm beginning to think it is Tabane herself who did it.

Tabane went to the Madness Place and SHOWED THEM ALL.

If it is so that resentment Houki feels at Tabane? Fricking justified.
