You should play the Tales of Series Kyero, no princesses, no pretty boys, fast pace realtime combat, not that shitty system FF came up with.

Tales of symphonia is the only one i liked.

WRPG have better open sandbox games(AKA Red dead redemption), JRPG have better "turn base" games.

You have good tastes, ToS is my all time favorite RPG

I'm not into open sandbox games too much, they tend to have next to zero character developments, and the overall plot is generally bland. It's fun every now and then to do whatever you want though.

play red dead redemption, you'll be surpised.

games like Oblivion have no character development because you have a entire world to walk threw and too many people.
