I don't know about the manga [I don't remember which chapter it is], but he definitely notices it in the anime. Well, in the anime, it's not that he notices the flower, but he sees Celine hit her with pollen.

We'll probably get a chapter in SQ.19 before every tankoubon release, so that they can include a bonus chapter in each. Probably it's a flashback on how the pollen works, that's why we see the Saki and Yami scenes. The Mikan deal, well, screw you Ishihara-v-;;. I may not be an incest fan, but you can't stop what makes manga and animé, well, manga and animé-v-;;.
