About the design of Rin's second shift. What if instead of within the armor or just bracelets/anklets. The mini-impact cannons are built into the gauntlet/leg armor instead? They seem to be bulky enough and they don't necessarily have to have the same amount of space for air to occupy as the original impact cannons since pressure is more key than volume.

That'd make melee combat and using her melee weapon very hard.

But the gauntlets and leg armor seem to be restricting her freedom of movement already. So instead the design shortens their lengths and thickens the design. It makes for bulkier hands and legs but meh- Since its already applied with anti-grav system then despite the seemingly bulky load, it shouldn't affect movement too much.

Hmm, indeed that's more plausible, the compression chamber is located on the back of the palm (similar to a huge gauntlet). In case of pressure, smaller chamber has the possibility of having even higher maximum threshold following square-cube law

@ Senpai - Sequence of events planned so far for the current chapter: Maya goes with Laura's kid to find her parent. The three missing kids are shown eating at the Home ec room with Cecilia's kid cooking, and then Kazuma and Shouta looking for anybody. Good enough?

The original impact cannons I imagined would get some sort of flowy metal antenna whip tail thingy. It's more aesthetic than anything but if we can tack on some sort of awesome chekov's gun then that'd be awesome.

Souten Gagetsu just seems plain bad as a weapon. The initial design of chinese dao being employed in such an unsightly bluky shape with no real purpose was somewhat disturbing -_- The beauty of the Chinese dao was not supposed to be its thickness or size, what made it so dangerous was it's flexibility so no matter what it cut it wouldn't snap in two and it forced the practitioner to be more skilled than reliant on the sword's cutting ability.

too short to be a spear in my opinion, it seems to be a lance but at the same time it looks more like a short handled cutting tool for me. The proportions of the handle and the blade seem very ambiguous but the shape of the blade truly reminds me of the Chinese dao.

Souten Gagetsu truly resembles a spear/lance once it is combined into its double bladed form.

My brain is fried when it comes to 'happy/funny family situation' ESPECIALLY involving children in it, I'm sorry I can't help.

As for I.S> can walk... the novel and Manga illustration scream impossible, while the anime design is better in this regard.

I'm pretty sure they can. After all, walking while in an IS is a form of punishment. (Not sure about the novel, but I'm sure the anime showed it)

Also... Chapter 5 of Athena Sabre seems to be getting twice as much hits as the other chapters(aside from Chapter 1). I wonder why... o3o
