Because my old landlady needs to understand that bedbugs are bad

On that note, I'm surprised Piranhas aren't on the list, but I suppose they're not exactly as destructive as some of the other animals listed there.

It's like a cracked.com list... except not nearly as funny.

It could have been appropriate but it would have been too obvious.

Until that list appeared, I always remembered this quote (dunno who said it): "Man is the cruelest animal".

TV Executives Admit in Taped Interviews That Hollywood Pushes a Liberal Agenda

"Some of TV's top executives from the past four decades may have gotten more
than they bargained for when they agreed to be interviewed for a politically
charged book that was released Tuesday, because video of their controversial
remarks will soon be hitting the Internet."

See:

http://tv.yahoo.com/blog/tv-executiv...l-agenda--3086

The odd part is that the execs actually admitted it.

It reminds me of "The Scary Door" bit in Futurama.

I'm not sure if it's fair to judge non human animals by the same moral standards as humans either. I think they're too different to be judged the same way; most of them don't think the same way we do. Not to mention that they aren't even capable of philosophical/ethical discussions like humans.

Ultimately, I think debating which animal is 'morally superior' or 'crueler' is pointless.

This is even worse :

Boy dies after falling into overflowing drain

Quote:
The boy was walking along a flooded section of the road off Balestier when he fell into the drain.
Quote:
He said his Indonesian cousin and William's friend, ran towards the drain along Mandalay Road, where William had been swept to.
If the news report is accurate, it would mean that he asked for it. Never go near a high velocity water flow, especially during a torrential rain. And NEVER walk anywhere you can't see your footing.

This isn't the goddamned ranger course. If the torrential rain didn't sweep him away, he still risks being struck by lightning in that weather, all wet and tall.

'Meowing' sparks sexism row in Aussie Parliament
Quote:
Canberra (June 2, Thu): Australia's conservative opposition was accused of sexism today after a male senator meowed at a female senior minister, prompting a fiery debate in the nation's Parliament.

Liberal Senator David Bushby was forced to apologise to Finance Minister Penny Wong after making cat sounds at her during a parliamentary hearing yesterday. An online video of the incident sparked public outrage.

I guess Australians don't like catgirls very much.

If the journalist who wrote it didn't embellish facts, then it is silly for that boy to walk near a flooded area with low visibility.

If the facts are embellished, or something is missed out, then poor boy died for nothing - time to hang the previous Minister of Environment.

An error which slashed the price of beer and cider led to a stampede of customers at a number of Tesco supermarkets in Scotland.

Lol at the Beer Rush.

Not me personally, I've stopped drinking anything alcoholic many years ago. I barely even drink soda these days and mostly stick with water. However I do know people that probably sell their own family for a case of beer.
