I have a few problems with episode 9, but overall it's a cute episode. And below are nothing more than my shameless fangirl reactions.

hehehe, i love the episode, i saw the raw, so i didnt understand everything but they are such a sweet couple...
Actually, she is very like me, i blush for EVERYTHING!!!! ... its not funny for me, but well, the point is, i understand you kasahara.... very well

I liked this ep as well... it's refreshing to see a romance show that is much more honest/real like... where both guy and girl know what they like, and are receptive to other's feelings, rather than one (or both) being unbelievably oblivious.

I also couldn't help but laugh at how good these Japanese toddlers are at climbing, they got all over Tezuka in seconds! (Also loving the Tezuka x Shiba stuff... they're just too good for each other).

The animation during close shots fortunately was still pretty good... they slacked in the distance shots...

P.S. Call me an old-fashioned guy... but

Just decided to pick this up for no reason at all, and I must say, I was pleased with how this is turning out so far. For me, this is the right mix of genres in one series.

Although every time I listen closely to Kasahara, I always ask myself... why is she so BOSS?

Episode 9 was pretty funny in some parts ~ !

As a side note, the girl who sings the OP seems like a bad singer, and it kind of annoys me.

Speaking about the OP... it makes me think that something bad its goin to happen... everything has been so sweet and cool till now but, why Kasahara is crying so muchs in the op.....
I hope that nothing bad happen to Lt.Doujou

It wouldn't surprise me though, if, now that things are going "smoothly"... her prince charming shows up and then she gets all indecisive :\ I'd dislike that though... I like the fairly straightforward approach this anime/story is taking.

I did a short summary entry of Library War Episode 9 and then anything after that just goes into delirium. Nonetheless, if anyone is interested, go read it.

thanks for the summary impz. i don't or hope that nothing bad happens to lt. dojou, he's one of my favorite characters in the show. as to the op i thought maybe it had to do with whenever she felt disheartened about her job, or that she felt that things weren't going well? meh, that's my look at it.

Toshokan Sensou is more popular in Japan than I expected.

Episode 9 garnered ratings of 4.5%, while Ep8 scored 3.3% the week before. Not bad for an anime targeted at a niche audience. What's more, according to usagijen, sales of the novels had escalated ever since the anime's release, so that's another good sign. I had hoped that more Japanese would watch or read Toshokan Sensou, and catch the importance of owning up to their country's past mistakes.

Or maybe more people are tuning in because of the rising Kasahara X Dojo rabu-rabu. Who am I kidding?

Spoiler for Episode 9 spoilers and impression: Ahhhh the animation quality has dropped so much! Ok my definition of dropping a lot is when the characters' face look distinctively different from those in the majority of episodes in the series. What's up with Dojo's face changing so much cries I'm afraid IG has caught the "Gonzo bug" for producing top-notch animation for the beginning episodes and then half-assing the rest. Especially this was one of my most-anticipated episode, the half-assed animation really marred my enjoyment. Well...have to say I'm kinda disappointed, both in the script and the animation. It's just....too fast-paced, from the way they are awkward with each other to the way Kasahara blurted out how she's gonna follow Dojo instead of her Oujisama at the end. Wished the development was more subtle. Also, the way this episode was set up is like your typical shoujo gimmick where the smart guy tutors the dense girl (who incidentally, has a crush on the guy) so she'd get top scores, thus improving their relationship. Not to say the pairings are so glaring obvious that leaves no place for doubts: Dojo/Kasahara moments juxtaposed with Shibasaki/Tezuka moments, in your typical tutor/tutee relationship.....errrrrrr I know it sounds like I'm asking a lot, but really, I just wished they'd take some time developing the relationships more. Dojo's reaction is pretty predictable, but cute LOL. At this point it's so obvious that they like each other that even an idiot would figure it out (I lost count of blushing. Seriously, there were so many), so just go out with each other already, dammit. But us fangirls needs more angst, right?

nanafan horo fan Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: missouri, usa Age: 39	i loved what i saw of ep 9 Spoiler for my thoughts: i loled when iku picked up dojo and threw him when she was worried about him seeing the letter. the awkward moments they had together were pure gold! it was also cute to see dojou blush. i also loved when shibasaki and tezuka went to that daycare, lol tezuka had the kids all over him. shibasaki was great at story time too.
