Frau is way too weird, I find her creepy.

Finally the cute girl that appears in the ending is going to be introduced next episode.

I hope the plot is going to get more interesting with the addition of these new characters, so far it has been regular, almost boring at times(due to Kai and his game mostly).

Frau's voice was not what I expected. Sounded like a chain smoking old woman. And 1TB in 2019 will probably not be that sizable at all.

This episode felt very short, as if not a whole lot happened. I like Frau's weirdness, though, and I really want to see what that girl we see at the end and in the credits is like. Plus, it was nice to see Kai get a taste of his own "I'll do it if you beat me at Kill-Ballad" medicine.

I really like Aki and Kai - Aki's boundless energy just makes her really likable (though I wonder what that is hiding, if anything), and Kai seems like a good guy who cares a lot about her, even if he doesn't show it.

I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes. It seems very "happy-go-lucky" now, but I wonder if there will be a step change in the tone at some point, like S;G had about halfway through.

Well, Frau might have a mild case of being a hikikomori netizen. Heck, she reminds me of a typical /b/ and /a/ member from 4chan.

Excellent translations for Frau's lingo, I laughed out loud. She's basically a fujoshi version of Daru from Steins;Gate. The voice acting is impressive too, those words aren't meant to be vocalized.

Considering how Chaos;head and Steins;gate were, I expect it to go to hell midway and aaaaall the way to almost the end. Then it is gonna be good.

In the first episode. It looks like the big robot is finished and they are going to fight it. And as for who they will fight is yet remain to be revealed.

How many episode will there be? is it 22 episode or 24 episode?

I personally think the translation, or rather the localization, was sort of... overdone.
Sure, Frau's jp speech is hardly anything you would pull IRL, but the meme lingot used there is just pushing it imho, even more than Kurisu's lines in S;G.

Anyway, I can't say I found Frau any interesting, since her interactions with Kai were quite bland and scarce, with just a flat "hardcore nerd" impression thrown at the audience. At least, I appreciated Subaru's interventions, which were straight and honest, without going too much on the slapstick (I would expect him and Akiho bikering endlessly, so I took by surprise).

At the very least, the pacing is taking off with this episode, so depending how the next tournament goes on, it might be a bit more exciting. Right now, it is just... a tad bland.

I've finally figured out why this story isn't clicking with me -- they have the wrong MC. Aki's Char-quoting, scary shiny glasses act, her attempts to browbeat people into sponsoring her robot, and her technical interests are so much more fitting for a Science;Adventure hero(ine) than Kai's, "Oh, hey, there's plot happening? So not interested" attitude. If you dumped him and put the focus on Aki, the show would be awesome.

When compared to Rintaro, sure, but what about compared to Takumi? Though Takumi lived a far less healthy lifestyle and had a greater sense of paranoia going for him, he was also a gamer who was set in his ways and had to be coerced into the events through an outside force. This is the third entry, and it should be compared against all parts of itself.

Kai to me looks like he adore or admire Aki's big sis. The way he looks at her is like a worshipper to his idol.

tsunade666 Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2009 Location: In my room	Episode 05 Spoiler: The first half doesn't have much except for Kai and Daidouji searching for clues regarding the cyber ghost and Aki finding sponsors again with the robo one committee that come to see Kai. Lol Subaru really want his identify hidden and it looks like its because of his father. At first I thought that the relationship of Kai and Aki are more like siblings that care for each other so I didn't expect Aki-chan to get jealous on Daidouji when Kai went with her to search for the mystery ghost. But it looks like Aki-chan is still childish. She ended up in assaulting Kai in the end due to jealousy. The good part is the mystery and scheming is starting. It looks like the world is having lots of mystery events that can't be explained easily by science lately. With the alteration of weather and the death of sea creatures. And this episode also introduce the cyber ghost girl that Kai finally found and meet. Kai also manage to find a report file no 1. and a name of a mysterious group. The technical gibberish and explanation is too much for my meager Japanese so I didn't manage to understand it all it looks like the report file no 1. Contains of a dairy like file of a guy that find or discover something. Its like a prediction of the future or documentation of what will happen in the future but I'm not sure because I didn't understand much what's happening all ready but it gives me the steins;gate feel on it. The girl exist in different plane and can only be view by electronic means and a diary or document about future events and finally the name of the mystery group. That's what I understand so far but not sure on future events documented on the file. Its kinda hard for me to follow up on that part.
