I can believe they kill Ronaldo, Otome and Joe at the same time, this episode did have a lot of tense moment, Airi crying, the world start to disappear, Alcor and Hibiki talk.

Death flags! Death flags everywhere. I have a feeling Makoto is not going to make it either and possibly Jungo. Only reason I'm not ruling out Io yet is that I think they'd keep a female heroine around for fanservice and variety but with the way they're going not killing her off would be out of place.

The second half of the episode was powerful, with team Ronaldo's death and the revelations made by Alcor. I'm enjoying the despair, and I really really hope this won't end with a magic reset (pretty sure it will though...). Would cheapen the whole thing.

I was having the same fear!

Anyways I could be remembering things wrong but it seems the only way to prevent a death clip if someone intervenes on your behalf. I can't remember the death clips being prevented any other way.

Also they kept mentioning Ronaldo and Otome but the poor third guy who died barely got a mention.

I think I expected that poor third guy to die no matter what. He just seems... to fit the bill of the sacrificial lamb. Or you know, The Guy Who Knew Too Much.

I wasn't that surprised by the deaths. I mean Ronaldo just seemed like a guy who wasn't going to survive. Good ideals and beliefs, but just didn't have much power. I figured the Nagoya group was screwed to some extent. If Airi hadn't gotten pissed and increased her summoner points they would have never even gotten close to ending this.

I hate to speak ill of the dead, but Ronaldo should have followed his advice to Hibiki in episode 4. Don't lower your guard until it's finished. Goes to show as well that you have to take outside action to prevent those clips from happening. Just knowing isn't good enough for you to change your own fate.

Come on, Otome? Really? she's the only one I bothered to save in the game -.-
Ronaldo's death flag was the fact that its Kiritsugu Emiya voicing, and when he passed on the flashdrive to Hibiki with all the data stored. Though at this point there's not point in checking it since world's gonna end, any plan is better than nothing.

I guess you can't have extended battles when you only have 1 cour to tell the entire story. I don't quite get why the world started to disappear, though. I thought they still had some time? There are still Septentrion to defeat. Also, poor Daichi, I kind of expected him to power up, but apparently not. At least Hinako pointed out to him that he's been using the app all wrong, so perhaps he'll learn how to get some cool demons. He got a close-up at the end, so... keeps hoping forever I don't think anyone was surprised by the death of Ronaldo & Co. Om Nerabdator ~Maru~ Join Date: Mar 2008	Spoiler for ep8 and minor game spoilers: wow they killed 3 plp who didnt die(well depending on choices)in the game....that settles it, i have no idea whose gonna survive now and how they will merge the game story now. Hibiki seems to be doubting everything alot in the anime, he seemed alot surer of himself in the game which makes sense since the whole world is falling apart and plp are depending on him alot __________________
