Just curious, what do you guys think of the manga's proportions in terms of the mecha design? (not the character design)

Yeah:/ In the novel trailer, she's shown with an all-white outfit with a sphere helmet. Not sure if that's White Knight or Kazewhatever its called.

Wouldn't at all make any sense for it to be Kurezakura instead of White Knight.

I think that the IS of Chifuyu in the novel trailer was the White Knight. It did say Shiro Kishi in the background and in the actual design, the White Knight actually had a mask to cover up the user's identity.

I like manga design, it looks a lot more organic, as in blend well with the half-naked pilot (not saying much about sensibilities but eh). I however, hate the feet design, what is this, orbital Frame? :/

Also yeah, it's smaller, but not much. At least when compared to aforementioned Shirokishi

As long as they don't gain even weirder uniforms, I'm fine with it.

The feet design might be difficult to get right. If IS were to follow the design of Gundam, that would include adding a mechanized ankle joint which sounds weird.

The space is what bugs me. Why are their arms and the space between their legs and mid-section bare? And please don't say its "To help movement"; the legs have stockings and the arms are bare, but both are required for movement. Logic would dictate that they would either both be bare or both be covered.

Which is exactly what used in anime and novel, and pointy leg somehow is more sensible? Nay.

At least the leg extension has their use (BT and Shenlong have propulsion there, ByakuShiki use it to skate around) and they can be used to walk normally, if awkward.

With the release of the recap trailer days ago, when do you think will the anime actually air? I've read that people are assuming this to be a Fall anime.

Though Ichika's suit showing his mid-riff also bugs me given how weird it looks.

I hope the animation quality improves a lot for Season 2. The standard seems to have been getting higher and higher recently especially with anime such as K from Fall 2012 and most of the anime this Spring 2013.

Depending on budget, if anything.

I.S. is hardly a large project back then, but considering how much money they made, that migth change for second season.

The first IS anime already looked good in terms of character design, animation, mech design and especially the scenery and background. I loved the high-tech but not too futuristic look of the IS Academy.
