Ange's was the hardest to put together.

Do you have shots of Beato's ''last'' moments. Those when she turns to Battler and then smiles. VN would have made everyone fall for it after these, even skeptics would have wanted it to be true, even if they didn't believe her, so gooooood, sometimes DEEN shows true quality, like that or Ange''s scene. again, do you have them?

What Piece-Battler sees is generally regarded as the truth. Therefore, that was exactly what he said, and yes, Eva shot him. Of course, I don't see how you can explain pupils like that without magic

They're easily marketable bunny girls, why would you get rid of them?

They're not Beato's furniture, though. It was omitted in the anime, but Ronove mentioned them being part of a higher magical authority, which I don't think would have such expendable mercenaries there.

It was not omitted as much, they mentioned being under pendragon's orders when they wereabout to take beatrice out of the mansion.

Yeah I was just thinking about that. Wouldn't Nanjo lying be enough of a reason for someone connected to this to want him dead? Mentioned his sick grandchild. Maybe he was offered money to keep the truth quiet and took it for the sake of that grandchild? I'm not sure how much he actually gets paid but more for the sake of the child's future wouldn't be bad. Then he was taken out to keep him quiet.

So anyone not confirmed in red could be responsible if they had a fake body prepared or pretended to be dead. Though it would seem out of character Hideyoshi isn't bad since only Eva and Nanjo would probably have gotten close to his body.

At any rate next time I'm definitely taking down every single thing said in red so I don't end up making conclusions that were already ruled out earlier in the round .

I agree with you though I still think Battler is the best with that line. She did a good job covering since he wasn't really in the mood at that moment.

This episode made me happy, because I've been irritated at Evatrice lording it over everyone when she just had everything handed to her on a silver golden platter. But since she was just part of the setup and isn't actually a Cake Witch, then fine.

I knew something was up when Beato did a 180 halfway in this arc, only to do another 180 in the end. She couldn't have had a change of heart THAT fast....


And I do find it quite odd that the resemblance between Ange and Battler is quite striking (down to the colour shade of their eyes and hair), despite supposedly them having different mothers. I mean, they look much more alike than the Kinzo's children do when compared to each other lol.

Oversight, or is there something I don't know yet? (and yes, that was a rhetorical question )

Genetics isn't often considered into character appearances when it comes to anime. xD;

I mean seriously, think back and consider just how many times that kids have acctually shared traits that their parents have.

Not very often I tell ya. (There are notable exceptions though.)

Best anime ever. I've never seen an anime plot so simple yet so entertaining. Anyway, I knew something was not right when Beatrice switch into her good character mode. Great episode.

But there's that few moments where she was visibly struggling with herself before going all Maria-face, so from that POV (might not have been in the novel), Beato might just be forced to do so (now that Bern went and messed things up) in order to force another game and try again?

It's what tsunderes usually do in this situation anyway.
