The storywritters said that he'll get a "satisfactory" ending, so I'd think that the ending he gets, while not being a totally happy one (then again, many could argue that the possiiblity of a "happy ending" died the same moment that Shirley died making Lelouch unable to fulfil his dream of gathering everyone together or the moment Nunnally died), won't be a totally pessimistic one either

I sort of feel like three of the four major characters were ruined this episode.

Suzaku betrays again and suddenly joins Lelouch.

Kallen just is not self reliant at all. Seriously, what is the deal with her? Why is she so infatuated? Maybe Lelouch really did geass her into being a slave? (Joke.)

Lelouch still has his geass and he still uses it without hesitation. In fact...he uses it even sadistically now. He learned nothing from his parents or his losses. He should have been a good guy after this episode. But we didn't get that.

The writers have taken the story in an undesirable direction.

We don't often agree, but this is on the right track.. In his first movie it was great, but he went to the bag one to many times since, same as this show. Now you don't want to trust anything your shown, making it difficult to pick a side or find something to identify with.

It's hard to root for any of these characters at this point. None are sympathetic. It's really easy to dislike them all. I think Charles and Marianne probably had the right idea for the world. The Code Geass world isn't worth saving...and I don't really care who wins anymore.

I just hope Kallen's character can be salvaged somehow.

Well atleast XingKe and Todouh will come out as heroes when the dust has settled. Even though they're side characters, all the mains characters seem corrupt so I'll lay my hopes on them.

Kallen is now starting to question her own organization and comrades. Nothing wrong with that I'd question them too after what they just did...

Leouch has nothing left to lose so why would he need to hold back anymore...

This episode was a 10/10.

So, Anya was there to watch Marianne die. V.V. Killed her out of jealously. Man, I would sure like to have Mariannes geass then I could live forever. The only question is, did Charles and Marianne "die" or get deleted?

I thought it was gonna play out differently, now Jeremiah has a reason to kill Lelouch, he killed Marianne again. Lelouch was geassed twice by Charles so his geass is infinite.

Hell, through the middle of the episode I thought they were going to remake the world with nunnally and euphie back.

For the next episode, does Lelouch have 2 contacts? It seems like he does. Must suck to have remove both at the same time just to use geass.

You know, I'd much rather be geassed to simply 'acknowledge' someone, instead of, you know, 'oney'ing someone without question. It also means that, after this acknowledgement everyone in the court is immune to Geass. They simply had to agree to him becoming Emperor.
