I wouldn't be surprised if it was summer, but then it got a last minute push back. It's Shaft....I won't take any dates seriously until release is imminent. Honestly, I'm hyped as fuck for more Madoka, but if I kept stressing over dates I'd probably be punching walls in frustration. Walls are people too!

I also wouldn't be surprised if it's merely their definitions of seasons that differ. Ie: September, which is before the standard "fall anime season" of October, but most would consider to be Fall anyway. Though a slight delay makes sense too, since SHAFT.

A Blu-ray set of the recap movies is set to release in Japan on 2013/07/24. The LE set will come with the soundtrack.

I always expected Kyouko and Mami to be in the third film. Remember, Madoka Magica ends with the establishment of MadokaWorld, where Kyouko and Mami are still active and alive as Puella Magi.

I suspect Sayaka will get a flashback scene (that's nonetheless new content in the sense it's a scene of her we never saw before) or that we'll see Sayaka talking to Madoka in a Puella Magi afterlife realm of sorts.

I think I saw that trailer before - It's pretty encouraging in that it looks very cool and edgy. Some of the scenery remind me of Bakemonogatari, though. I hope Shinbo doesn't overdo it with his distinctive style, lol.

Yes, please... PLEASE let it be this. That would be an awesome twist. And it would help explain why Mami and Kyouko are even talking about Hitomi to begin with.

I'm not Hitomi's biggest fan, but I think there's some great potential for Hitomi/Mami and Hitomi/Kyouko scenes. This is especially true if Hitomi herself is a Puella Magi.

Plus, it means Hitomi doesn't get off easy any more. She doesn't get to benefit from another Puella Magi's wish without ever becoming a Puella Magi herself. Although I wonder what Hitomi's wish would be...

Imagine if Hitomi wished Sayaka back to life, but Sayaka returns while forgetting all about the Puella Magi world due to Madoka's cleansing effect. Oh, the all-around irony!

I doubt Gen would allow that, but it would be cool.

Legs/standing position doesn't make me think "Kyouko" either, imo.

Yeah, it's either Hitomi or a brand new girl! If it's Hitomi, her Puella Magi transformation either changes her hair-style or gives her some sort of headgear/hair accessory.
