Aswald, Asward, Aswad or Asuwado?

I know there was a poll to which do you like シュバルツ to be translated. This time I would like to ask you about アスワド.

I think Aswald has been seen the most frequently in this forum, next Asward. I'm not sure the difference or the nuance between them, because I'm not a native English speaker.

But there is a consensus of almost all 2ch people in My Otome threads that アスワド is Aswad, because Aswad means black in Arabic, as Schwarz in German.

For the reference, both Doremi and SS use Aswad.

Since Megami magazine used Aswad, most likely that's the correct.

But フロリンス (furorinsu) and カルデア (karudea) stiil don't have official romanization...

You get used Aswad; it sounds less funny when the first A is pronounced as a long A. Sounded like "ass wad", i.e. "a wad of ass" to me at first.

after serious contemplation i have reached the conclusion that the correct spelling is not "asuwado" but "ass waddle." it is shocking - SHOCKING - that none in this thread have come to the same conclusion.

I usually prefer to use Aswardo ... since it sounds closest to the way they say it but I guess Aswad is good.

I don't think pronouncing the A longer would help would it? I still can't do it without emphasising the S... Now it sounds like AAAAAAArrrSSSSSSSSSSSSe wipe.
