Started reading the LN yesterday (planned it since long ago but never managed to find the time):

1. General atmosphere reminded me of "Ascendance of the Bookworm" for some reason.
2. I personally agree with Last Sinner regarding both MaoMao character and voice for the most part.
3. Vol 1 ch. 13 ending actually made me shout "WTF" and burst laughing (damn, it was 2 AM, I hope my neighbours are fine, soundproofing is really bad here in Spain).

Looks like PV has scenes from the first two LN volumes by the way. I wonder, how much they want to adapt. Because volumes themselves are not that long but a lot of things happen and while it has overarching plot, the story is quite episodic, especially at the start.

Although it was expected I am sad that anime seems to follows LN instead WN.

Haven't read WN myself but form what I heard about it I prefer the chages made for LNs. Sans we fact that it would have ended already but the author was pushed to make it longer.

I only know from manga, but it felt like LN is more action and wn remain more of detective story.

Eh? Very strange as I am reading LN and there are a lot of detective stuff and very little action. At least in the first 4 volumes. Maybe it's manga that is different. Never read it either.

Um, there's mainly detective stuff in the manga? Action was very infrequent.

The Nekokurage one (Big Gangan) is the more prominent one, and also the one licensed in English.

I honestly never hear anything about the Kurata Minoji one (Sunday GX).

They both started in 2017.

As I said, I only read LNs so I cannot compare but I would never say it has more focus on action than detective stuff.

What do you think is the ideal tempo for anime adaptation and place to finish the season? I personally think it will be 24 episodes (6 per LN volume) covering up to

Are we sure this is still 2023? Seems like the remaining two seasons are looking quite full and heard nothing since?

We'll know once they actually post any sort of update. It can still air this Fall or even had first episodes pre-aired in December.

From the 1st Teaser, we already know that they would be going atleast until the Blue Rose Arc, which is the final plot of LN Vol.2.

And i think that's really a good point to end, if it's 11-13 Episodes long Season.

If they go until LN Vol.6, that's going too deep even for a 24 Episode Season, and if they do that, they would rush a lot of the plot, which would be bad.

Though i can't say for sure, as a few of the previous Shufunotomo/Hero Bunko Series which got adapted to Anime had a rushed plot within 11-13 Episodes, like "Knights & Magic" and "Isekai Cheat Magician" (not sure how rushed "Harem in the Labyrinth of Another World" was).

Well, sometimes they release new info quite late, especially considering the Series is related to Shufunotomo/Hero Bunko publishers, who tend to go quite slow paced with their works.

4 volumes for 20-26 episodes is just enough and it will cover the first big arc. I was talking about it. I am not sure why you mentioned vol. 6 there.

Well, yeah if it's 20-25 Episodes Season, then yeah 4 volumes would be enough.
But i highly doubt we would get that many episodes, because only 1 or 2 new Series gets two cour Season.
And considering the previous Shufunotomo/Hero Bunko adapted Series, i doubt it would happen for this one.

Wonder how much of the manga that will cover. Got hold of 7 recently. Up to 11 is listed on Square Enix's manga website for schefuled releases.

Also interesting to note the high proportion of SE published mangas being adapted.

As far as I remember, most famous manga didn't even cover up to the end of vol. 3 of LNs yet. But I have not read it, only base it on the information people I know provided.
