A flash trailer of the series is available on the website...
http://www.busourenkin.com/ ...hmmm, this series looks like it'll be fun. Though since Xebec is animating it, I doubt it'll follow the manga religiously. |

Thanks for the info darkchibi07 =)
I read some of the manga, but not that much of it as there wasn't at lot of it translated. The manga is Licensed now, but it will take a while for all the volumes to come out ^^; The anime looks great! and VA seems pretty good, the animation is really nice. It kinda looks like the start of some Street fighter/fighting game opening movie with the music in the background |

Well Xebec doing the anime pretty much guarantees it'll be 26 episodes long. Fortunately though, unlike Negima, 26 episodes can actually work for BuRen.

i think endow just wrote what i was about to say XD
anyway, i started reading the manga, and somehow the anime looks more "matured" in a way than the manga. also somehow this reminds me of chrono crusade (gasps and enter a wtf?) the thingy in their hand looks like the lifespan clock that chrono gave to .... *bad memory kicks in* it's true it does have a mix of FMA but i don't care as long as they keep it interesting x_X.. busou renkin (every time i think about it, it pops up in my mind like "battousai kenshin" x_X well i hope it turns good |

I guess it is pretty hard to say how closely the anime will follow the manga, but so far I have seen nothing to suggest the anime may stray a lot from the original story. The artwork on the official site, the voice cast, the scans.
On SSDC, Watsuki did say that he was not entirely excluded from the production, but got to check the design, the scenario, the casting. @Endow j-rurouni.com is for the re-release of the Rurouni Kenshin manga... with links to the upcoming DVD box and the upcoming PS2 game. Somehow, there is a lot going on for Watsuki at the moment. And don't diss Papillon. |

XD Personally, I think the graphics aren't as good as one might have hoped. Sadly. There's a trailer, decide for yourself. On a darker note, this is apparantly the final voice work of Hirotaka Suzuoki (Saito), who died last week. |

Lately, anime-based games are somewhat lower-budget than big-name games like Final Fantasy or Wild Arms. The Black Cat PS2 game was the same, not the best graphics but not bad either. I've just gotten used to it.
Think of it like Gundam and ZOE. Gundam is good at anime, but not as good at games. ZOE is good at games, but not as good at anime. (not to say either is bad in their alternate form, but they're not as good as their main form) Personally though, I think the RK PS2 game graphics are pretty good.

Eh, the thread is kind of dead, but I think that this should be posted.
Namely, the 30 seconds trailer that has popped up two days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZXah4lhBH0 The anime is airing on October 4th, starring Jun Fukuyama, Ryouka Yuzuki, Aya Hirano, Mitsudaki Madono, Masashi Ebara aaaand others. Opening song: Makka na Chikai by Yoshiki Fukuyama Ending: Hoshiakari by Jukai |
