In news that is only tangentially related to this eternal discussion over character designs, Lantis has revealed the cover arts for the OP single.

The OP single comes in three forms: Limited Edition, Regular Edition, and Anime Edition. The first two will have the OP song, Rage On!, and two b-tracks, Swamp and Now I Am. The Anime Edition has Rage On!, Now I Am, and an instrumental version of Rage On!.

Besides the three editions and as mentioned before, five retailers will be offering replacement booklet covers under the "Take Your Jacket [cover art]" campaign. Those are the five anime/OLDCODEX images at the bottom.

Additionally, the official site updated with news that they will release a drama CD entitled Iwatobi High School Swimming Team Logbook 1 on August 21. Lantis will also release the first radio CD, Iwatobi Channel, on that day as well.

I'm glad I have a trio of guys to watch this upcoming season. I like trios for some reason. Gareki-Nai-Yogi kind of are in Karneval this season, but it's a slightly darker show.

I've always wondered how I personally felt about this. I tend to like a balance when it comes to main cast (like Fairy Tail, Overlord at work, or Chihayafuru), or sometimes more girls because the dudes bore me (bad writing imo). I think a male-centered main cast can work for me so long as they have good female side characters and good main characters. Karneval is kind of like this, and Rom Com Snafu to a point. Oreimo would be like this since i love the main two but there needs to be more dudes.

The post he was quoting simply said "The series is now for fujoshi and shotocons (wink wink)" and added no other substance than to imply that the only reason people would watch the show would be if they were a fujoshi/shotocon. That is just what the target audience is. It never meant there are no others who might be watching. There wasn't any evil-calling by him either.

I'm interested in this Sharkboy fellow. In some videos he seems to be the mood-maker (i kind of hate that term though) and really outgoing and happy, and others he seems the polar opposite, angry and aggressive and dark. He kind of reminds me of Aomine of Kuroko a bit, judging from what we've seen.

Probably because Nagisa looks pretty "shota-ish" compared to the others?

Not that this makes him a shota unless he has that age too, oh well.

Never. All i did was make a joke that us fujoshis are getting some shota service as well from the novel that is coming out soon.
