Firstly a very big thank you to the person/group subbing this show

That’s the best new I have heard in this month finally the show I have been waiting for 3 months to watch has GeGeGeno Kitaro been subbed and released . There were a few fans of this show particularly me you and Ama no Kagaseo I hope this fandom of sanin grows into vast numbers .

Just started downloading I have to share the bandwidth with couple of live actions which are at 70-80% . It will be a long night for me but who cares its for the show we have spoken roughly for 5 months

EDIT : I can safely say Maids! Maids! Maids! can be added to the Ge Ge Ge Fandom

separated at birth?
While to avoid typos on Ama no Kagaseo name I checked up on the first post I came across this post which I had overlooked. The character deigns pre dates Shaman King so its obviously a copy. Though I am huge fan of Shaman King I did not notice that . Kudos to you on pointing that out

Just re-watched episode 1 to have a look at how well the fansub was done. Good job! I would probably have translated "Medama Oyaji" as "Elder Eyeball", though

Nicely done... But they're not really in the Anime, though thankfully. I don't remember the original having any fan service and I don't think the remake needs any to attract the modern day audience. It's a brilliant show as it is.

It's interesting to see how even some kid shows are encouraging the viewer to peep with these kind of shots. Even in the new Doraemon movie remake, they show Nobita lifting up Shizuka's skirt... The influence people get these days. How can you you not have pervert warning signs and women only trains in Japan?

I will share my thought on this episode a little later but just like the 1968 first episode the bat was very present in this episode, a sorta tribute to 68 one . The Op track is rocking but its a cover of James Brown. These are the seiyu for the series

Quote:

* Kitarō : Minami Takayama

* Medama Oyaji : Isamu Tanonaka

* Nezumi-Otoko : Wataru Takagi

* Neko Musume : Hiromi Konno

* Sunakake Babaa : Keiko Yamamoto

* Konaki Jijii : Naoki Tatsuta

* Nurikabe : Naoki Tatsuta

* Ittan Momen : Jōji Yanami

Spoiler for Savin Space:

Doubt this will really stop kids playing too much games but, at least they're trying to get the message across

There was a documentary once looking into the phenomena of people carrying DSes around with them wherever they went, both guys and girls. People started to have meetings similar to LAN parties but they weren't really social. When asked how well the people there knew each other, they answered just the names and not much else. So people are starting to think of these situations as a problem and are trying to do something about it.

Seems the fansubbers who did episode 1 have died or something. I can still arrange everything needed to fansub Kitarou if a qualified translator is interested and contacts me. Look for Teppei on ETG or Rizon.

We didn't die.. well.. sort of.. we never planned to do all eps from the start (as with blue dragon). Just 2 one-ep releases for fun (watch the "Help wanted classifieds ads" from around that time). It's not a 'simple' 12 or 26 ep anime either.
