Also I'll try to stick with the Reaping rotation for a bit, to see if its just not me getting used to the rotation. If the results are still the same, I'll test the Frost-Sub-Spec then.

As for the increase you get via a proc weapon, it is all relative, and the exact increase will depend on your overall gear. The reason why proc weapons get an extra increase is because you do more auto attacks, thus more chances to activate the proc. But aside from upped proc chance, there is the base fact of increased auto attacks frequency. Auto attacks make up for a very sizable part of your damage as Unholy (It is your second highest source of damage after SS), which also scales nicely with Arm Pen, to a point where the 20% haste and 4% STR you get from a Frost subspec outpace the Blood benefits (5% crit, 9% crit on SS, 4% weapon damage). Crit scales badly and is of secondary importance to Unholy compared to haste, and the 4% scaling STR which increases "all" your damage, opposed to the 4% weapon damage, speaks for itself. While a Blood subspec shouldn't be "that" far behind, the gap is there, and grows wider with gear due to superior scaling. Reapingless Unholy with Frost subspec (0/17/53) is the top of Unholy builds right now. That said, blood is always an option if your tanks are having threat issues As for the meta, what Konakaga said

Also, from all the info you gave me Skyfall, it seems pretty reasonable. I just got a little concerned about Crit because a BM Hunter in our guild was doing the same dps as me, since he was basically critting 85% of the time. But it could be that Hunters generally depend on ArP and Crit for the majority of their damage. Well my current ArP is I think somewhere between 42-43%, and since Unholy is similar to Blood in terms of SS doing physical damage. I think its good to get as much ArP (but not to much as to gem) as you can right? So you can increase the physical damage output of SS, and since the magic damage is 12% based off the physical damage. THen it will only increase more. I thought that the damage increase from the Blood Sub-Spec would give me a bigger advantage damage-wise. But haste does sound more tempting

Yeah it was said two posts ago.
I guess I'll be resubscribing sometime in November good thing they are offering a digital download like they did for Starcraft 2 so i can already have it installed before it even comes out.

I've never had a problem with playing right after Launch. For BC I played almost 40 hours the first 2 days it came out. Wotlk I played much more casual but still played a lot. Maybe you just have bad luck with servers? I only had maybe 2-3 times server crashed last two expacs, it was much much worse first week of original wow with 400,000 people accessing 20 servers at the start, which then doubled to 40 and still tons of issues.
Also with the expac changing the world up I fully expect it to be good, most people will be split between 2-3 different zones + phasing to keep the individual player load down.

A big reason for the stability issues after big patches is the influx of returning players resubbing to try the patch out before letting their account die again. A server can't always handle thousands of people trying to access the same set of 5mans over and over like seen when ICC came out. Raid & Dungeon servers died a lot.
An average server population probably close to doubles when a new patch / expansion comes out at least temporarily.

My realm is considered medium population and in the early days of WotLK, we still suffered from...
"Additional Instances cannot be launched. Please try again later." -> -> -> -> Cue epic flailing as people walked/ran/flew/crawled in circles around the instance portal entrances. This was before the LFD tool was implemented, so it was excruciating, because the group was already there, but the instance was not. Furthermore, since I'm on a RP-PvP realm, there was a lot of epic slaughtering at the daily-Heroic meeting stone. The ground was literally bleach-white with the skeletons of the slain. Most "Oh Shit" moment I had was flying into the surface cave entrance hole of AN, and suddenly seeing over a hundred skeletons on the ground. The exclamation mark barely registered in my brain before I was ganked six ways from Sunday from a gang of Rogues and Paladins. Due to the lack of "space" for additional instances, a new Battleground was practically formed each day at the Daily Heroic. Good times for those who love PvP. Bad times for those who just wanted to do the daily. Always amusing to see a player frantically facebanging on the portal trying to get in and get away from the Death Squads. Had so many tense moments at meeting stones when sometimes there seems to be a "mutual agreement of ceasefire". Their redness so compelling... usually if the wait is too long, someone will breakdown and start a fracas. Then everything goes to Hell as one faction tries to exert dominance at the meeting stone. Even "better" were the extortionists who succeeded in camping an instance ID and demanded gold if you wanted him to invite you to his group. You got to love "human nature". Cheers.

For some reason.. I agree with this, when Sunwell Plateau released during BC... I played it on the first day, and it was so laggy... Skeletons everywhere on the floor... Just massacre..

I leveled an alt in Outland and worked on lore.master in the old world on my main the first week or so of Wrath while I waited for my copy to arrive from Amazon.
However with the pre-launch patches there should be a lot of stuffto do in WoW. The pre-Cata events for the first one, and all the level 1-60 content for after the world changes (but before the expansion is in stores). Alt heaven I suppose until December 7th (a date which will live....in infamy) when the speed levelers and raiders get moving to race to 85 and end game content.

Sadly I don't really have any alt to level to take advantage of the new world. I have something of every class now above 60+
So until I have a new race to play I have no motivation to try out the new zones. Which reminds me, did Blizz say anything about adding extra character slots? I don't really want to delete anything...
