The first volume of the shounen manga Blazer Drive will be released on August 4th. The manga seems to be a collaboration between Sega and Kodansha. As the authors for this manga are mentioned to be: Seishi Kishimoto and Sega/Kodansha.

So now the big announcement that will be in the next issue of Shounen Rival magazine, which I mentioned in this post, could be a game adaptation.

Or maybe an anime adaptation... or maybe both...

Anyway, the next issue of Shounen Rival will be out on July 4th, 2008, so we'll know soon.

Both anime are based on the ToHeart2 romance visual novel software from AQUAPLUS. ToHeart2ad plus is set to begin in 2009. North America's Right Stuf released the To Heart television anime series, which is based on the original visual novel of the same name.

Ponyo on a Cliff Trailer Online

The trailer for Hayao Miyazaki’s upcoming film Gake no Ue no Ponyo (Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea) broadcast during the June 27th episode of NTV’s Zoom in Super television program is now available on YouTube. The trailer features the film’s theme song performed by 9 year old Nara Yuria, the voice of Ponyo. The film is scheduled to open in Japanese theatrical release on July 19th.

Second Neko Rahmen Anime Series Announced

The official blog for creator Kenji Sonishi’s comedy manga/anime series Neko Rahmen has formally announced development of a second Neko Rahmen anime television series. The first 13 episode Neko Rahmen anime series is available for free viewing and download from Vuze. A live action Neko Rahmen motion picture, to be directed by Minoru Kawasaki, was announced last April.
