I watched the Classico Champs league match cause it was acutally on BASIC CABLE HERE IN US.
Wow, that was a circus. Looking forward to next two matches though. I also saw a bit of Copa Liberatadores it was Santos vs. America, I think Santos won? Didn't see all of it but what I did see looked really fun. Main reason I didn't see all of it was because I was looking at (duhduhduhDAA) THE CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL!!. (crickets chirping ) Anyways, MLS side Real Salt Lake faced Mexican side Monterrey in an entertaining match, was really pulling for RSL to pull out a win over our Mexican counterparts, but alas strikers couldn't convert. I know the level wasn't as high as CopaLib or UEFA but the emotional investment made the match more fun than the big UEFA games have been for me. |

Oh my helly lord, being a football fan can be stressful at times.
I know none of guys will probably care about the little teams in England, but as a Huddersfield Town fan, we needed to win against the champions Brighton to keep pressuring Southampton for the 2nd promotion spot in League One (English third tier). We did that (but only just): Brighton 2 - 3 Huddersfield. Put simply enough, we're now 24 games unbeaten (not been beaten in the league in 2011) and have had a record-breaking season in general - but we could still be battling in the play-offs to earn promotion to the Championship (English 2nd tier). |

Anyway, the abscene on goal line technology rears it's ugly head once more in the Chelsea match with Spurs.

In other news, both Real Madrid and Barcelona was beaten, Madrid 2-3 by Real Zaragoza and Barca 1-2 by Sociedad. Maybe they're holding back too much for the Champions' League Clasico? Meh, in any case, the league are only contested between the two of them, so it doesn't matter if they both lose...

as a pessimistic Man U fan, I don't think they stand a chance again Barca...not to mention Barca has several players who always have "award-winning performance" on field ...If Barca doesn't have the lead then Man U will be down to 10 men somehow in the second half
Oh, well, it's one game so anything can happen in one match and I hope Man U will take it

Oh my chuffing lord. What a night last night.
Huddersfield Town 3 - 3 Bournemouth (Town win 4-2 on penalties). I was there - and I'm in the Stretford End at Old Trafford a week on Sunday Apparently #HTFC was trending WORLDWIDE on twitter. |

And so Barcelona wins the 2010/11 Champions League. They simply outplayed Manchester United for the whole game; dominated them in every category. Once Barcelona gains momentum, it can be quite difficult to fend off their assault.

My god, Barca is so good that it is really frightening. I was disappointed today, but Barca is simply in a class of their own. Next season I really hope someone stops them. If Man Utd wants to do it I still think they need a really good midfielder or two.
