If you listened to SS02 (going to assume you didn't) Linith was insistent on Precia going to see Fate because she rarely ever does...Precia tells her she's being disobedient and that she's too busy with her research, and Linith shrugs it off and continues to insist. Precia has a bit of a temper tantrum but it ends as Linith's victory, hah. Back when Precia could still be reasoned with. *shrug*

Is it just me or are they copypasting a lot of the StrikerS design? Not only do we have Alicia-Vivio on the previous page, now we got either 1. Fate. Compare to StrikerS training outfit and that pose - and - 2. A grown-up Teana if you cover the ornament.

She still looks good though.

You'd have the see the Fate's dress close-up. Aside from the color, it looks nothing like her StrikerS training outfit. Or maybe I need my memory refreshed...but I'm pretty sure.

Edit: If both 1 and 2 were referring to Arf, then maybe you're right. I thought 1 was for Fate and 2 was Arf.

If you're referring to the image I put image tags around, that was Fate, not Alicia.

That aside, they did blatantly state they were doing entirely new designes with StrikerS technology in mind. I don't think that was intended to include the casual clothes, though.

Edit: Another english review for the Nanoha Movie. It's short, but get's the point across.

And the reviewer posted his review on a Type-Moon board, so there is no denying he lacks bias for the Nanoha series. Apparently he needed to make the Nanoha review shorter as to not be off-topic in the forum, Lol.

That Fate is a clone of her dead daughter, Aricia. Rynith had no choice but to stop her from going further. But Pressea is too stubborn to stop as of this point.

I do wonder how the movie got a perfect ten if the plot is just a rehash of season one, with some more focus on Precia and Fate. Also, it's hardly fair to compare it to UBW considering the massive time gap between the two movies; clearly Nanoha was going to be the better told of the two, since it was over two hours.

It wasn't being compared, he just saw both movies on the same day -- and reviewed them together.

A remake doesn't mean it can't be flawless. Not saying the Nanoha movie is, since I havn't seen it myself. But if everything is done just right and fixes what the original failed at...it could be.

25 min' is by no mean a "masive time gap". Actually both movies are around 2 hours length.
Nonetheless, since 7Arc managed to sustain the production value during those 2h15 as well as to tell a story that doesn't feel "rush" (main problem with UBW from what I've rad so far), it seems normal to me that the Nanoha Movie get a higher mark.

Of course the Movie S1 is a 10 material. Compared to the UBW movie that is made by the SAME team and studio that gave us the subpar F/SN series!!!
