I'm tired of seeing Blond palettes. When nearly all characters use the same style, you can help but wonder if they suck at coming up with different palettes (seeing as they even used two Vocaloid themed palettes), if they're just lazy to think of more styles, or if they think we like those palettes so much that we want all characters to have them. Personally, I'm not fan of blond hair girls, so seeing so many characters with this just makes me angry at the wasted potential, specially when we can only have two palettes for each character.

In any case, I do hope that Will is released next week. Using him with Golden Nocturne as BGM is going to be epic.

I have so many objections to a blond Bern, and have ever since I got my hands on the spriterip :x I was hoping for a Rika alt (I'd never use it, but still)

And, well, the mass amounts of blonde alt costumes kinda makes sense, the game being called OUGON musoukyoku after all.

What I want in a palette swap is total mutilation of the coloring to the original, a blonde Dlanor was like ''Omeffgee', blonde Rosa was cool. Beatrice's was lacking.



What I do not like, is palette swaps that barely change their appearance. This angers me with Lambda, I don't really care about berns, looks decent.

Erika's was amazing.

Wills looks pretty great as well.

The only veredict I reached is:

All blonde side costumes = R07 being lazy
All none blonde side costumes = Other games/references.

For example:

George's: Dante from Devil May Cry
Black Battler: Tohya (Think about it for a second and it's clever foreshadowing)
Erika: Hatsune Miku (Vocaloid)
Willard: Kaito (Vocaloid)
Battler: Black Battler (Puns)
Jessica: Ushiromiya Natsuhi


The rest of the cast is all blonde, all of them. Someone should at least send R07 a suggestion for sidecostumes or something. I wouldn't mind, for example, having Willard on Youmu's costume.

Black Battler's Tohya and Jessica's Natushi color change is justified in my opinion. Also, Battler's alternate colur is suppose to be his father I believe. Everything else is R07 being a fanboy or lazy.

It's kinda true, they don't really matter, but when you see the same side costume pattern applied to more than 50% of the cast, then it becomes a concern on it's own.
