Well, there's also the fact that if they wanted to do English, it probably would have been better to double-check the grammar and diction with a native speaker before going ahead with it.

No. Please refer to the merchandise thread or the wikipedia link for answers about any merchandise but also realize that everything pretty much comes from Japan and will be in the Japanese language as of now.

Although, the ending song for the anime is in English.

About the cover for Onikakushihen...

What's with the hidden person under Rena's right arm?

That's something the Japanese would never care to do, unfortunately. I'm curious about any cool-looking or cool-sounding English in anime. As a French native speaker I'm sometimes puzzled, but never impressed. lol
If you have any counter examples, please, I'm listening. ^^

What about Samurai Champloo OP? Was it weird?

This may surprise you guys, but THEY DID USE a native English speaker to check the lyrics and give pronounciation lessons to Katakiri Rekka. That doesn't mean however, that ALL native English speakers are professionals in translating lyrics to match the tune. If they had the money, they would hire a pro at BMG Japan. Unfortunately, this is just a "lowly" anime with "otaku-ish" sponsors - they opted for the best they can afford. Basically, it comes down to "you get what you pay for."

Ok, I didn't know that. So now I'll always be doubting anime songs lyrics, wherever they're from.
And I'll be doubting anime Japanese lyrics too, and lyrics in general as well. I'll be doubting music, and language as a whole!

*sighs...

KJ, I don't know why, you just made me feel down.

That's Satoko... though the art wasn't done very well in this picture.

That's not what I'm talking about. Look a bit closer.

Oh my bad... didn't notice that eye lol...

From what I know, it's probably just a symbol of "Oyashiro-sama mode". I can't think of a character that would exactly fit that picture based on such vague details (not even the ones that have not yet appeared in the anime, and they wouldn't have any reason to appear on the cover for this context either)

It's Rena since it is the cover of the drama cd for Onikakushi-hen and it has blue eyes.

Since the anime's Tatarigoroshi-hen has ended, I have posted the 3rd "Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai" video:

Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai -Utage-

Personally, this one's my favorite out of the bunch. Probably because Tatarigoroshi-hen was my favorite chapter from the game.

EDIT: It should work now. ^^;

Seems people put too much importance on the lyrics. I'm actually liking the ending much more than the opening.

The lyrics are sung from Keiichi's perspective. They're almost cute.

Nakanai Kimi to Nageki no Sekai Utage (You who Don't Cry and the World of Bewailing Feast)
Song used in the music video:

狂宴 -dance when cried-
Kyouen -dance when cried-
Mad Feast -dance when cried-

Vocals: Shinra Etsuko

Kanji:

Romaji:

Mujaki ni aruku Itsumo no kaerimichi
Karakattari Kenka shitari
Sonna sasai na koto ga tsuzukeba yokatta no ni

Kanashimi ni fusu hitomi Kuyashikute
Hagitorareta Yasashii jikan
Kono te ni torimodosu tame nara

Yurusarenu to mo
Kono sekai ni Sabaki o

Te o hanasu tabi ni
Yugamu kono kimochi (Mayowazu)
Samenai utage o
Kowase Tsubushi Abaki Sakebe

Kokoro ni ukabu Shiawase no katachi
Modoranu hi ni Tsuyoku sashidasu
Tamuke no hana wa akaku nurete

Sangeki no hate ni
Nani ga matou to mo (Ketsui o)
Samenai utage ni
Idomi Odore Inochi kakete

Tada kimi no egao
Tsuyoku negau kedo (Kurutta)
Samenai utage to
Nageki no koe dake ga Nokoru...

Translation:

We innocently walk on the usual way home
Bantering and quarreling around
Even though I would've liked it if such trivial things continued

Your eyes that bow down to sadness are regretful
And stripped of tender times
If I'm to regain them in my hands

Even if I won't be forgiven
It'll be a judgment in this world

Every time when our hands part
My feelings distort (unhesitatingly)
Destroy, smash, expose, shout for
The unawakened feast

The shape of happiness that surfaces in my heart-
I firmly present it to the day that won't return
The offering flowers are drenched red

At the end of the tragedy
No matter what waits, (I've decided)
Challenge, dance in, stake your life on
The unawakened feast

I firmly wish for
Just your smiling face, but- (I went mad)
Only the unawakened feast and
The bewailing voice remain...

EDIT: Thank you, Sushi-Y~!
