Did Nisio Isin ever explain the original reason why he included Nadeko in the light novel series? Was she just supposed to be a one-off character meant to fill some pages before the narrative returned to the main cast? Was she only included in later books given how Nadeko became Kana Hanazawa's breakout role?

Does it really need a reason? Every character has its appeal. Nadeko is important because the snake curse allowed to introduce Kaiki in Nise.

And she was included in the later books because even the other characters were also included.
