On a slightly related note: I have seen and heard of multinational exercises using tanks for training, but, I think this is the first time I have heard of multinational tank competition. Although not direct simulated combat like Senshado, I would pay to sit and watch this! (Heck the article even mentions brightly colored painted tanks!) |

Worst case, grab any 1/35 PzIV and just mod the kit slightly to work with the turret.

I'm going to use the tamiya kit instead of the platz(dragon) kit. Most of my fellow IPMS members highly recommends the tamiya kit over the dragon one so I went with that. And my nendo is finally gonna arrive in a few weeks

Putting up teams of tanks against each other wouldn't accomplish much, other than the proficiency of the crews' handling of the vehicles... and perhaps finding out how other tanks perform while they're at it... |

If I wanted to have to do extensive rework I would have been happier to try and retrofit my Nendoroid into any of the long barreled variants. I just want an easy kit that's not much hassle and I can guarantee will work.

Ok never mind I'm a sucker for instant gratification - the local Hobby Town had the Tamiya kit in stock (and cheap!) so ...
Miho is SUPER excited! The haul! But the question is ... will it fit?! Perfect! The plastic color is almost a match as well... Now these rubber tracks are nifty! Gotta make sure we read the instructions though!!! Wow... now I'm torn, do I prime this whole guy and my old turret to match the base coat or do I just not care and do a little dry brush weathering on the edges to make things more or less match... :-/

Ok so I decided I can't live with injection flow lines... I will delay assembly gratification and paint the silly thing!
Remember mina-san always be safe when painting! A cardboard box in the backyard makes an expedient paintbooth. Be careful and spray both sides, use tweezers to hold only the sprue. I know if I was doing this seriously I'd trim all the pieces and mount them individually for spraying but Miho is way too impatient! Besides I'm going to do some dry brushing for weathering as I assemble so I figure I'll hide any trim points at that time... And now we have a perfect color match! Miho is SO HAPPY!

Mina-san, be sure to use sharp flat clippers when pruning pieces off the sprue! What does Miho hate most of all? PAINTING ROAD WHEELS! Yeah it was this kind of thing that made me stop modeling!
