Something better and popular in Japan, she can work as a seiyuu, quite similar to the helpdesk in the aspect of utilizing the voice.

This is the cutest Yuusha I have ever seen

Attacking Maou with a dirt cheap knife and being stopped by a policeman who thinks that she is his lover. Throwing empty threats then crying when being ignored. Going full stalker mode. And those facial expressions

Don't have much to say about Chi-chan though, but she looks better with the normal clothes than when in her uniform.

I could tell that Chiho was in high school but the fact that Emi is faking being older is a little disappointing (as it is always nice to have older female protagonists in series, not that 20's is old but for anime it is).

I guess that is its light novel background showing its colors.

It is great so far.

It somewhat balances comedy and seriousness. My favorite part was that Maou and subordinate talking nonchalantly while the Hero is outside trying to get in.

I have to ask. How does taking over the fast food restaurant helps him take over Japan then the world? One way I could think of is making food that would allow him to mind control whoever eats it.

To be fair though , from Yuusha's world medieval background, 17 IS pretty much adult age, marriage at a much younger age was frequent during those times. ( that is if their world truly follows real life medieval norms

I really enjoyed the intense expressions Emi gave this episode. Her killing intent was off the charts. In some ways, like Satan said, her behavior is very un "Hero-like". It's definitely similar to the hatred and digust an ex-girlfriend would possess. That police wasn't too far off the mark...

Emilia is an interesting one.
She seemed more like a maou than like a hero.
Her reactions about maou were really fun to watch.
The whole maou-hero situation is just ridiculous in the real world.
I totally have a feeling they'll end up being friends...

May be he didn't do math. Boeing AH-64 Apache helicopter cost 52 million , MacDonal's revenue for 2012 is 27.56 billion. He can only buy five hundred and thirty Apache flying tanks.

is that not enough?? some countries don't even have 10 apache some countries don't even have 500 helicopters.

well his plan is sensible but hard to achieve. if he has a life span longer than normal human, then he would be able to do it. starting from zero isn't easy

@erdii Apaches won't do. If Maou-sama really want to dominate the world, he needs Nuclear capable B-2 ($737 million)
with B61 Mod 12($5 billion). It costs America $2.75 millions to permit the B2 bomber's flight time of 20.6 hours to South Korea.

This won't do Maou-sama, you also have to accquire KFC.

I can see where you're coming from, but Emi's generic "tsundere" behavior is, so far, coming from a completely different place than your typical tsundere. Maybe we're conditioned to see everything like this as romantic, but honestly there's not a trace of romance in anything she's done so far. She's "tsun" because she's a hero facing a demon lord, and she's "dere" because she's a hero who's devoted her life to protecting the innocent, which the demon lord is looking an awful lot like right now. She wants to kill him, but at the same time doesn't want to kill him as long as he abides by the world's rules and strives for world domination merely through full-time employment. He's not only harmless, he's actually a good citizen. This was explicitly pointed out by the episode as the source of her conflict. Throw in a metric ton of humiliation and you get her entire character. She's not falling in love with him (yet), there's no blushing, and certainly no indication that she would be jealous of another girl.

In other words, be a bit more optimistic. We haven't seen episode 3 yet.
