I thought it was a nice move to handle things like this. Treat it as another mystery and having the group have to struggle to just realize that they were missing something. If there will be a reaction to suddenly remembering Marie it'd probably be next episode. Barely had time to recognize the comb before the TV started up and that was the episode.

Played it safe again with Yu not getting stranded with anyone. Instead used that time to have him struggle and regain his memories of Marie. I'd wonder how the comb got summoned to him, but we did have a freak storm that no one else experienced either so the whole situation was pretty supernatural.

Some good fun moments here and there. The snowboarding duel with Yosuke and Chie, Teddie going max speed down the hill, and of course the "kill Teddie" moment when the ones scared of ghosts got freaked out

Well, I expected something.

"That's Marie's comb, isn't it?"

Everyone acts like that's a normal thing to say. I was expecting someone, even Yosuke himself, to be like, "Wait... who's Marie?" I guess if it's supposed to be that they all remembered and forgot they forgot it isn't a big deal, but it just came across oddly.

I agree they probably should have given more confused or surprised impressions rather than looking resolute. Maybe we are to suppose they rather quickly clued into the situation. As Yosuke said it though he, Naoto and Rise seemed to have the required surprised expressions that you'd expect.

Guess they just wanted to end the episode on a "heroes are ready to go" kind of feeling and save the discussion about what is going on for the start of next week. Having things not quite make as much sense to end the episode for the sake of atmosphere.

Will just randomly add that I liked the preview there. Using that music for it, with the white TV and such.

I was hoping for some shipping from the show. Rise looked so alone there playing chaperone for Naoto and Tatsumi

There was Kanji and Naoto, but disappointed they skipped the second day part where everyone was fighting over who would get to ski with Yu.

The whole "did we forget someone" thing dragged on a bit for me, mainly because I'm disappointed they didn't adapt more of the ski resort scenes. I don't think the game did the whole amnesia thing, did it? Well, guess this is Marie Social Link the Animation despite what the title actually says. They did a good job referencing everything, though it also serves as a reminder of how everyone was demoted to make room for Marie (since she's always at the center of pictures and such). Glad they kept the Teddie scare scene in at least.

Fun mix of serious/comedy/mystery for this 09 episode.
I agree they needed a few more seconds at the end with the comb.
We get how Yu remembered, but could have used a bit more impact with the others remembering. Especially since they didn't even go thru some dream episode, they just found Yu.

At least have some hesitation before saying Marie's name or something to make it seem like they all suddenly remembered from seeing the comb instead of acting like "oh of course its maries comb"

I thought if Marie leave no traces completely, Chie and Yukiko's clothes must been disappears.
Anyways I like this kind of story. I want to see Marie!

what a crappy animation. lots of errors here and there. its like they don't even gave a damn on the show.

While there are errors I'd say lack of budget/skill. Plus it's hardly that bad to make a big deal out of it. If you want to talk about people animating that don't give a damn can look at that new Sailor Moon

I didn't watch the new sailormoon. The illustrations alone before airing made me cringe

its just its pretty jarring while watching. Specially when they are talking in the cabin about forgetting something.

While animation is bad here, I'd say it's far from the worst. There's things like new Sailor Moon, as people has pointed out already, and Dramatical Murder (without counting most long-running animes).

Well I'm watching now as I type this and so far I'm slightly disappointed in one thing, I was kinda hoping that when they entered the Hollow forest the entire crew would all have a chance to meet Margaret but nope...

Still I LOVED the fact they used the Hollow forest theme from the game.

I'm glad there's another episode. I wasn't sure if they'd try to pull some bullshit and make the real ending BD only and leave this with just the Game Over ending or not.
