(L) Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai [Anticipation]

August-soft site has announced that their hit game,「Daitoshokan no Hitsujikai」will be getting an anime adaptation.



Synopsis from Micchi's Blog

When he was young, Kyoutarou wanted to read all the magic books in the world, but they were all in the magic library. Someone told him that to get there, he must be kind to everyone and bring happiness to their hearts. He received a bookmark, which was his entrance ticket to the magic library.

One day while heading to school, he received a text from the ‘shepherd’ (hitsujikai) telling him that his fate was going to change. He had a vision of an accident at the tram station and helped prevent any injuries by calling away a nearby girl. That girl, Tsugumi, later came to the Library Club room, which he was a member of, to thank him and also to ask for his help to make Shiomi Academy more fun. It seemed that she had also received a text from the shepherd, who is rumoured to appear before people who try their best to grant their wishes. One by one, other students also join their group with the shepherd’s guidance.

Kind of fast...... seeing that the game has been only out for less than 2 months.
Come to think of it : why Daito and not Eustia? Not that i am complaining that it gets an anime, but i liked Eustia more.

I was aware this was a game, but it was never on my "to-play" list. (I have a huge backlog and other current releases taking priority), but I will definitely watch the anime. It's still about libraries and books, and I can't hate that.

Daito is easier to adapt and doesn't seem to require big budget. Also, probably the most important thing is Daito is far harder to ruin/rape

haha, dual-posting, but you do know that the manga is running for quite some time right? and yes, before the game was even sold.

I think Eustia's theme being a little more mature, may not sell as well. Or perhaps like what Kirayuki said. *shrug*.

It is hinted that those VAs also voiced sub-characters like K-on, Chuunibyou, Tohearts 2, Seitokai Ichizon, ....

^ Actually, if they had a good writer, I won't mind original anime plot if they can expand more on 'Hitsujikai', something which I felt have great potential for more interesting drama but was lacking in the game.
