interesting the chinese scan for 144 is out but still no raws on MH

Spoiler:

- Angel was the one that Kill Karen and it turn out that Hibiki was in love with karen.
- Lucy try to sent back Loki since she didn't want him to fight Aries but Loki decided to stay for the fight anyway.
- Loki and Aries fought but was Angel summon another stellar spirit (not sure which one it is but looks mechanical) and blast through Aries and loki at the same time.
- Lucy summons Tarus but Angel counters with Gemini who pretend to be lucy and use lucy boobs to defeat Taurs.
-Angel orders Gemini to kill lucy but since Gemini was in Lucy mode, lucy memories begin effecting it and Gemini couldn't kill lucy.
- Hibiki then pretend use his powers to transfer a spell into lucy's brain.
- Lucy use the spell to defeat Angel.

my guess is Lucy will take all of Angel Stellar keys. as there was a lot of blah blah about how Lucy loves Stellar spirits

With the given personalities of the characters, making a romance in one piece would probably not do too well; SanjiXNami is, imo, the closest we got to the makings of a decent relationship... better no romance than a poorly constructed romance

romance is one of those things you really got to think out well before hand and start working on it early on... if you don't, you just end up with a mess of characters who feel like they are acting unrealistically, and/or out of character... and for a lot of fans, it kind of spoils the mood of the manga as the thoughts of "what terrible relationship writing" will linger as the series goes on

besides... having established pairings would spoil it for the fanfic writers and fanart artistis. Have you not even considered the feelings of the LuffyXnami fans?

Ya looking around, i've been hearing what sounds like that the usually providers for the raws are running late for some reason, and that' why fairy tail is delayed this week.

As Kylaran said, the author made Haru power up when he realized that he was fighting for Elie rather than an abstract concept like the world. So there's precedent for this author using love as a plot point, which makes any comparison to OP or any other shounen series meaningless. This author has already done it.

That said, Natsu's a different character than Haru.

The spell use by Lucy to defeat Angel is called "Uranometria" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranometria) a fitting name for a spell use by a celestial spirit mage.

Well that was something, lets hope Lucy does get the new SS and hope theres no stupid reason she can't have them.
My guess is Lucy is a SS Mage legend in the making.

Hibiki uploaded a high-level spell into Lucy's brain and she cast it to defeat Angel in one hit! It was pretty cool.

- So, apparently Angel was the one who killed Karen, and Hibiki was one of Karen's reverse-harem members...no big surprise here, though it is interesting to see all those connections between old and new characters...
- Hibiki being on the edge of being affected by Nirvana was interesting to watch. I can see why he was the only one chosen to know the truth - that guy has amazing self-control.
- Loki was taken out pretty easily. Taurus even more so...
- The whole part of treating your spirits as friends vs. treating them just as tools and weapons has been done to death in other manga and in this one as well (Angel is basically Karen v.2)
- Gemini had a change of heart after feeling Lucy's love for her spirits and could not finish their job. That part was incredibly cheesy.
- Hibiki uploaded a high-level spell in Lucy's brain and she executed it to 1-hit-KO Angel without even knowing. That part was incredibly AWESOME

So, in the end, Angel was defeated by 2 mages and a lame plot device. I'm still not impressed by the Oracion Seis.

Well, this manga's moto has been the use of teamwork, so I was not suprised at how Angel was defeated. I enjoyed this chapter since it allowed Lucy to utilize a very powerful magic spell, even though it was passed on to her from by Hibiki. I am beginning to like Hibiki's ability and I am wondering if the same thing could happen again with Natsu since there are appearently in the same group for the time being.

Well of course not... the high-level fights have a tendency to be saved for Natsu and Erza. I'm willing to bet that Natsu's fight will at least be entertaining. Erza... well, she'll probably just use Gates of Babylon to win. Or who knows. Just please, don't do any BS with Gerard...

Ezra's tried to kill him once...and failed...even Natsu hasn't really 'killed' anyone.

As long as Gerald's alive, Ezra won't see any resolution, which sucks. I just wish she'd get over Gerald already... -_-
