Just download Mozilla Firefox and its extension Ad Block Plus. Fire fox has a built in ad blocker, while Ad Block Plus blocks most advertising on websites.

As previous posters have said, firefox and ad block plus are the best pop-up blockers out there. However, if you want a decent general blocker that is not browser dependent, I used this way back when before Firefox.

That seems like something that has to do with how Firefox handles windows...
Go into options > tabs > select "new pages should open in tabs" and it SHOULD open everything in a new tab now...or you can just middle click all links to ensure that they open in a new tab. |
