I voted for Hikaru Hitachiin. He is my absolute favorite of them all<33 He is so cute. And I love his childish personality, it's adorable.

now i know what some of you are thinking, 'why would you chose tamaki ? he's just some obnoxious, oblivious, rich dude.' ~my cousin.
i like how, whenever haruhi gets hurt or somthing he always gets so gentle and protective..
i liked the part at the end where those 2 guys hurt haruhi and he was like "who did this ?" all evil like.

but, that's just me ;P

I vote for Tamaki and Haruhi

Tamaki can always bring a laugh when he does silly things, and gets over-jealous when someone is near Haruhi

Haruhi is just down-right awesome in ways, since she can actually see the world. Instead of some fantasy land I think the other characters are in... Also the fact she can identify Hikaru and Kaoru with ease.

Tamaki is just hilarious, the show is nothing without his drama and antics, naww i just love him

And haruhi is an excellent female lead, funny, not a wuss, cute, speaks her minds, not to mention her 'rich bastards' line never fails to crack me up.

I really like the whole cast, its what makes Ouran so great, but i think Renge is an underappreciated character, she is just hilarious

Like a lot of people, my favourite are Haruhi and Tamaki. They are like foils to one another:
Haruhi is a funny, very introverted, realist, while her eventual love interest Tamaki is... oblivious to reality in general, especially his feelings.
The cast is really good as a whole, and it was the first comedy anime I really liked. xD

I don't like Haruhi one bit. She's cold, impersonal, and completely ignorant of social and societal conventions. Not even in the curious manner, just an "I don't give a fuck about anything" attitude. She makes me feel like I'm looking through a dark mirror, or rather a much more exaggerated version of myself. It really gives me the chills.

Tamaki, on the other hand, just commands your attention every time he shows up on-screen. He's just too cool and funny.

I love Tamaki he is my favourite character, because he is funny and kindhearted and i probably wouldnt watch the show if he wasnt in it.

And Haruhi because she remind me of myself, the way she acts, what she says, what she wears(but i have blonde hair), its freaky seeing myself on the TV. SO i have to vote for her

I love them all, but my favourite are Haruhi Fujioka because she's very nice and gets along with everyone, and Tamaki Suoh, because he's over overdramatic and he makes me laugh.

My favorite characters were Tamaki and Haruhi. For me, the greatest enjoyment I got from the series was watching their relationship form, grow then change. My second favorites would be the twins because I loved the comedy they brought to the series. Hunny and Mori are close behind the twins - I thought it was really sweet that Mori took such care of Hunny. I liked the other characters but these are my top favorites.

Hunni - He is just so freaking adorable, and no matter how much I don't like those childish character, he just pulls at my heart strings every time (especially with his Ussa0chan)

I had to choose Tamaki for many reasons.

1) He's so foolish and over dramatic that it really adds the humor to the show to see him over-reacting to something.
2) His over-protectiveness when it comes to Haruhi is just so sweet.
3) There are those rare moments where you just know there's more to Tamaki than the Host Club Prince. Some of his interactions with Haruhi show as much.
4) I can't help but wish I was one of the girls he fawns over during the Host Club hours.

Of course I had to choose Hikaru and Koaru as well. Ouran High School Host Club would be nothing without the devil-type twins and their forbidden brotherly love acts.
