Well, there is a good comicshop near by... But they have only german translated Mangas and DVDs. ...Wait, I think they once had a original japanese Artbook of Eva... Now I think about it... I should ask if they can import DVDs...^^ These I can't get on the net...*feels stupid, because I asked in every DVDs-store exept the comic-schop*
Mangas in french? Oh, I'm already learning english and japanese...although I just have to drive 10 minuts to be in France ..I'm too lazy *doesn't understand myself* I wouldn't come far in France, because of my bad school French.... I have to pay 5€, but like ruze said it depends on the size and if a few pages ar in colour. Saiyuki costs 10€ because it is much bigger AND has coloured pages... |

I buy all my manga through http://www.sfbok.se and http://www.adlibris.se
They´re pretty cheap. Science Fiction Bokhandeln has stores in Stockholm and Gothenburg. That´s the two best ways of getting Manga in Sweden. Last edited by BME; 2004-01-02 at 15:26. |

well, I live in belgium and depending on what you want manga is easy or hard to get.
If you can speak french (all those hatefull classes we had to take in school actually have a use after all) : well belgium is close to anime heaven: ALOT can be found in french; there are several anime specialised shops in most major cities in belgium. Most manga are between 5 - 7 euro which i find reasonable. If you want manga in english, you'll find it's alot harder to get in belgium and ALOT more expensive (between 10-20 euro's a piece ) For those people from the netherlands, a few good stores in Antwerp can be found near Central Station, If you're interested i can give you the adresses (just pm me). For other needs i use archonia.com since they are based in belgium which means very low shipping costs (sometimles i even pick up my goodies there if i happen to be in the neighbourhood) |

Well... I always buy the local editions at the comicshop over in the next town... I'm always there anyways, because of university... ^^;
For japanese editions I go to a japanese book store a bit farther away. They're slightly expensive, but within limits... around 10Euros/book. For french editions I use archonia. They're still the only foreign online shop with decent payment options I know. Alternatively I just drive over, with a friend, to Liège in Belgium or Lille in France. Gas or shipping charges... it amounts to roughly the same... plus you can do a little sight-seeing, go shopping for BDs as well, or go to the movies, especially when there's a new Ghibli in theaters... ~Althalus |

Le Depot: 14, Rue des Carmes (near the university) Nice range of books, reasonable prices, with only a couple of holes, in back-stock as in new releases. La Marque Jaune: 20, Rue des Dominicains (inner city, near Place de la Republique Francaise) Less manga, higher prices, better for BDs. In the vicinity , on the way from there to Pl. de la Rep. Francaise (out the door, left, right), there is an entrance to an underground car park and right next to it is an anime/manga store. Don't remember the name or address of it. Prices in the middle range. Didn't buy there often 'cause you can't browse the books freely, everything's behind the counter. Then of course, there's the fnac. Don't know the address for that, either, but it shouldn't be too difficult to find. Doesn't carry Tonkam, though. Plus you have to carry every book to the next scanner to find out the price... ^^; Last shop I remember would be BDscope: 28, Rue de la Casquette. If I didn't mix it up, it's the least expensive place for new releases, though almost no back-stock. HTH... I'm working on memory, shopping bags and crappy online maps here... someone recently nabbed my good map of Liége... ^^; ~Althalus |

I wrote "a bit farther away", but not quite that far. The japanese bookstore I go to is Nippon Bookstore in Düsseldorf, and sometimes Takagi Books, also in Düsseldorf. ~Althalus |
