There are only 2 or 3 arrancar stil alive, there will be no point in having an Arrancar Encyclopedia if there are no more arrancars. Hopefully Gin will survive this arc so he can give lectures on whatevers next.

its possible aizen could return to hm and make a new batch, yammi becomes 10 again(lolz) and we get 9 new espada, each more powerful than the last.

I always thought his bankai was fine. I mean, what were people expecting? Bankais are usually larger versions of the shikai.

For me this chapter was a breath of fresh air.

There was comedy, finally, and Gin being awesome. That whole "Everything's fucked so let's sit back and watch" bit was pretty hilarious IMO. Good ole Gin.

Contrary to some others, I really don't see this reunion between him and Matsumoto as being a waste of time/pages. I'd gladly take it and any potential deeper characterization that comes out of it over another chapter of Aizen being like "Ho ho ho! I am awesome! Hear me roar!"

Kubo has so many characters in his cast most of them suffer from a 2-dimensional blandness that he has yet to overcome with his writing. It's frustrating as a reader, particularly when the potential is there. The Pendulum Arc was great for learning more about Urahara and how he fit into the story. Maybe this will be the same for Gin.

I know I'm counting lucky stars here, but maybe next week we'll get to see bit of what makes Gin tick (since his relationship with Matsumoto just baffles everyone) and IMO that'll be damn interesting.

His Bankai is very technical. It doesn't look like much at first, it's not 1000 petals flowing in the air, and it doesn't increase your strength or whatever, but in a technical fight it's something dangerous.

On a side note, I'm looking forward to this reunion too. Maybe Gin won't die after all and he'll just surrender for Matsumoto.

That would only make sense if he was a double-spy from the start. It wouldn't really matter though because it would result in another "Just as planned"

That's exactly why I like his bankai, I was getting tired of reiatsu blasts, let's see who is more powerful with this last swing, two colors clashing on the screen followed by a big explosion type of fights.
