Er, that's XnView, an image/multimedia viewer software. That's why it has multimedia buttons and stuff.

ETA: just a note, whoever that desktop belongs to seems to be using a Chinese language Windows, though XnView is in Japanese. Make of this what you will. Also, note the other episodes/series titles in the browser tree. A good way to check whether this is legit or not is checking the episode credits for (likely) Chinese individuals. Anyone bored enough? xD

(Or they could just check 2ch. XD They're probably already on it.)

My op reading is correct so far.

This is a wild guess based on the bonds/relationships that were built in episode 5.
At first I thought it was a type of showcasing where they partner would look the opposite way(they had your back kinda thing, but its in fact the opposite. The partner would look the same way.
This is due because the glasses guy and bully were looking the same way( built bonds/gained respect in episode 5)
The pres and vice president were looking the same way also.
The two teacher's looked opposite ways because they didn't click at all during their little dialogue.
Haruto's friend and glasses girl spent alot of time together in the past 5 episodes also and were looking the same way.

What does this mean?
L-Elf x Shouko
Haruto x Saki

The OP and ED contradict each other
Depending on which way they are facing the opposite direction in the OP and the same direction in the ED
Partner/friends/interests they look
In the OP is the right/left up/down
in the end is the right/right up/up

It seems that the Valvraaves are some sort of parasitic mechanical species. Those incomplete machines in the liquid could be developing Valvraves.

That theorie could be possible. Because it is clear that Haruto takes the inniative and not Saki. And the reaction of Haruto was after like. WHAT the fuck happend and Saki was very sad. well we dont know if it is true those spoilers.

Besides in this episode it looked like L-Elf has some interest towards Shoko. He doesnt talk to her like he talks to others. It looks like he sees her as someone who can see trough him.

sigh! not so much Saki this episode.

Well it was enjoyable to watch. So we have 4 valvrave so far and 3 remaining. I guess Shoko or that glasses guy are the next. but for shoko to pilot a valvrave?? somethhing really really messed up needs to happen. So i dont think Soko will pilot it until the next season.

So far only people who had a very bad experience piloted the Valvrave. And cant see Shoko piloting that thing the next 4 episodes.

Uhhh...Saki and Haruto? Whatever happened to them as the main characters? O_o And let's throw in another cliche -- seeing the ghost of your beloved one before you make a big move. And then there's that shipping-starting moment between Shoko and L-Elf.

EDIT: The end of the episode, where it is revealed the already-known fact that Module 77 and the students were prepared for the Valvraves. I sense good parenting here, at least in the prime minister's part. Yes, let's send our daughter (Shoko) to study in Sakimori Academy, where we produce WoMD and a module laced with guns beneath and magnetic shields above. She'll be safe there. But it might have been safer for her to be at her father's side during the annexation of JIOR (did they kill the prime minister? No, they wouldn't for political reasons). I mean, look at how the module was almost blown up by that cannon-majink.

Just because they're main characters doesn't mean other characters don't deserve to be developed as well. Besides L-Elf and Shoko are main characters too and it was L-Elf's plan anyway to get those other minor characters pushed to main character status.
