I was stupid enough to play World End during the George scene. Never thought it would be more heartwrenching than how it went in the novel. Yeah, I almost cried.

I was quite amazed with the reactions of Maria. She didn't shed a tear which actualy shows more of her role in the upcoming chapters. I was somehow confused how Shannon's body wasn't with the others. Does that mean that she was used as a substitute since Natsuhi was protected from the amulet? (hint; saw the blood markings on the door?
So,was Natsuhi the 6th person and not Shannon?

because, in episode 2, Natsuhi doesn't have the amulet and she died with the others, right? But eva and Hideyoshi too, so maybe Gohda is a subistitute for Eva or Hideyoshi. I believe that, if the amulets really means that the person that have it is protected, and since Jessica does not have the amulet to give to her mother on episode 2, Maria hold it or give to her mother, I do not remember where Rosa was in the night of the first twiligth on epi 2, but if she was with Maria, than it explains a lot(maybe?). Rosa couldn't be killed so eva died in her place, and natsuhi wasn't with the amulet, so she died, and hideyoshi.....well, i think that I've lose my point....>XD

Not sure about Shannon, but since her corpse was deeper than the other corpses in the scene of the crime, maybe she was killed first and separadely? i mean, someone killed her, trowed her body and than came back to kill the other 5...not like that represents something significative...

Shannon's face was not completely destroyed so it was easy to understand it was her.I highly doubt it was the first person killed cause the markings on Natsuhi's door were covered with blood. The victim killed someone first,then started lookin for Natsuhi and since he couldn't get to her he killed the substitute. Another thing that makes me curious is,how about if someone of the 5 victims is the killer.

Their faces were completely destroyed and only the clothes mentioned their identity.

Remember what Gohda said to Shannon? He would be in the servants room waiting for orders. Also the key was taken from the Servants room

I highly suggest reading EP 1 manga before going to EP 2 manga, otherwise you will get confused as Teapot said. Your call though.

It could be that Shannon and George killed the rest of them together off camera, after/before they had their scene with the ring. Just occured to me as I was thinking about old mystery novels. (no idea why, still theorising, possibly just an inheritance grab? Natsuhi isn't family and so can't inherit herself, Eva... no idea why she was spared, could just be dumb luck. Sounds too flimsy.) Then Shannon herself got killed by someone else who tried to mimic them (possibly while returning the key to the storehouse?), hence why her corpse has a few differences from the others.

Yeah it's got holes a mile wide and almost certainly wrong but I have to start somewhere.

edit: Scratch that. Doesn't mesh with locations. For some reason I thought the servents room was in the main mansion. Back to the drawing board.

Well, but I think that, since there's just one chapter of episode 2, you can read it and it'll make no difference, and, if you watched and understood Higurashi, the "arcs" thing will not be a problem.



BTW, I'm really waiting for the release of last chapter, because I want to see if they will include Tp and HTP to explain Beatrice on ep2

Totally make sense. Chapter 18 finish with discovery of the third magic circle, the one that represent discord. Chapter 20 starts with Battler try to find the meaning of the magic circle, before the phone rings.

hmm that's strange... But I don't think they'd make an error as serious as mistaking the chapter number... are you sure that's chapter 20 and not 19?

well if you're sure then it has to mean something... but I don't think it's what you said... if you've played game 3 and 4 you'll understand why... if you haven't... well just think of the chapter numbering as a mistake or then something else...

Well I never saw a manga with a chapter numbering mistake. On the cover of the june issue it says 20th chapter and the one of the May issue does indeed say 18th chapter, so it's most likely a little joke the author did

I disagree, there is an important factor in umineko that serializes the arcs.
