Disney learned a lot faster than Netflix. A shame they didn't get it right the first time, it could have given Summertime Rendering the attention it deserved.

Production values was *cheff's kiss* perfect, Production I.G. at their best, I do think the pacing was on the fast side but I'll let the anime only be the judge of that. (you always set up your own pacing when reading manga, a luxury anime doesn't have)

Looking forward to reading the crazy theories you guys will come up with.

Don't get be wrong, the quality was great and it's honestly been a while since I've seen a post-apocalyptic anime. You got fanservice as well.
But I admit I snorted when it was revealed there was a wall around the "good" place

So they did got drugged. Kind of surprised about the connection between the man-eater and the landlady. Guess if people lose someone, they will come up with all sorts of ideas to keep them alive, in their minds.

Was a good second episode, just that bit where Kiruko got jumped by Maru...not a big fan of that

Looks like the fast pacing is the norm, shame as I wish it was slightly slower. Besides that I really can't complain about the episode.

This episode raised more questions but at least provided one answer: Kiruko was kissing herself in the mirror last week because she's actually a guy in the body of some hot girl. I very much doubt it's a case of gender dysphoria given the way she worded it, specifically using "brain" instead of "mind". Given how weird the setting is, brain transplants don't seem like much of a stretch. Especially after seeing how little bro killed the monster.

Hard to imagine a better opening two episodes for any manga than these two. This is the textbook definition of a first-class treatment.
