It was shown in the first TV series that anime version of xxxHolic can be done without the Tsubasa Chronicle parts, and i'm very happy about that. & if you've read passed volume 11 --- then you'll know that there's PLENTY of material already for a second season, may it be 12/13 episodes, or 24.

Wow that's good news...The way season 1 ended was too unsettling for me...

I don't think they can top the orginal theme song though, that used to be my jam^^...Maybe we'll finally get an answer to whether or not that girl Watanuki has a crush on is really a bad-guy...Still wondering about the slick little moves she made in the Monkey's Paw episode...

Wow....first I've heard of this 2nd season (by looking at the thread title).
When i first saw it..I went "Whaaa?"

First season started out OK....But went down hill (for me) because they never adapted any of the interesting arcs (Spider-story, whole eye being taken thing).

IT's likely the second season will adapt these arcs.

I agree. I don't think they can top 19sai. Unless....of course they use the same artist. And he makes a better song.

Need more music, as all the OPs and EDs of the first season was good. Need more stories, since all the arcs were mightily interesting for me. Need more Watanuki, as his antics and reactions are great.

Actually screw all that; I just need much MOA Himawari. Shizuka Itou > all... :P

Topping 19sai I think will be hard, that piece totally fit the OP for it. I wouldnt mind something else by him though. (kinda like Higurashi used 2 songs by the same artist whose name escapes me...)

The character Im looking forward to seeing the most....well let's just say for the non-manga readers, he's a spitting image of someone else in the manga But I will not give out spoilers.

Speaking of manga material, it all depends on how long this new TV series plans to last. If its going to be the same as the first --- then there's plenty of room to make it upto volume 09 and beyond, meaning we'll have

animated Kohane --- i hope they make it upto volume 13, i just love the scene inside her house between Watanuki and her. It shows just how wonderful/kind Watanuki is.. how we've always seen him.

i dont know if they willg o that far, there is quite a bit to cover and right now im thinking they will do the same as season oe, cover some parts of the manga, have another break and maybe get another season later on :3

but thats just speculation, we'll have to wait for the right numbers etc. to think of that

Another series that'll last 25 episodes --- they could easily cover that part of the manga.

I wonder how they'll handle the TRC crossovers. They *might* keep them seeing as how Production I.G. has control of the rest of the "Tsubasa anime universe" now with them producing the OVAs and with BeeTrain dropping out of producing any more seasons of Tsubasa.

It was shown in the first season that there won't be any Tsubasa in the story, so it would be silly to just add it into a second season.

Um, good point. They'd probably write off all the Tsubasa references like they did in the first season.

It was just a thought though, never said they'd actually do it. It's just that some of the Tsubasa connections in xxxHOliC (such as Watanuki's relation to Syaoran) seems like they'll be important in the future, and to write them off may ruin the story in the anime. Unless the anime strays into its own storyline, which I probably won't like.
