I expect he'll be doing his thing from the bridge of the Arthra for the most part, until we get to a major crises point. Which would be a shame, but par for the course in the last two series, where he mostly did command and control. Perhaps he'll get a chance to play "cavalry". From the forshadowing of the coming crises at the end of A's to StrikerS, one would expect there to be an incident where Stars and Lightning squads (and maybe Hayate and Co.) simply get overwhelmed, and somebody with enough power has to lead the relief force. ^_^

I have a feeling that we're going to be seeing some casulties as well- the manga had that flashback of Vita's where Nanoha was seriously injured, ep 2 apparently has a comment made by Fate regarding Nanoha's physical health, and ep1 had Teeana spraining her ankle. It looks like the producers are making the point that the Nanohaverse has some edges to it. I wonder how many redshirts will end up biting the dust? ^_^ I wouldn't be surprised at the following scenario either: Nanoha ends up seriously injured, and on the sidelines until the climax, where she yet again demonstrates her philosophy of making friends through firepower. ^_^
Here's an idea out of left field- in the end Nanoha ends up unifiying with the mysterious pink-haired mage glimpsed in the OP.

Hmm...

Now that I think about it, for an anime with a very strong female cast, I'm surprised not even one member of the Weiss had a role, be it minor (( well, not that any of them deserves minor roles )) in the entire Nanoha-verse.

And...no offence to Yuuno and Mizuhashi, but are we even totally sure she's in for the Yuuno role in StrikerS? Granted, the epiloque of A's still had her as his seiyuu, but one would think that he's gone through a voice change by then... Unless there was some magazine article that confirmed her role in StrikerS that I didn't know of?

I havent seen any such confirmation anywhere...Since Yuuno is probably reduced to a cameo role he probably won't appear in the cast lists in the usual places.

I anticipate the day when Yuuno comes back with the voice of Seki Tomokazu or Seki Toshihiko(both I think to be liable evolutions from Mizuhashi's voice)

That I have no clue, I'm just basing this on the ANN cast list...

But imo, she doesn't sound too weird for a young male adult... I guess.

That would seem to be the case. I heard the producers admitted to being fans of the Super Robot Taisen franchise. I believe this is also the reason why Fate gets Bardiche Zanber (Zankantou reference).
