Infinite energy does not mean infinite power.

IS has infintie energy, but it has finite energy release per second. therefore finite power.

Lockseed's actual advantage is magical life support

Without additional hardware, it can't do shit to I.S. frame. (Perhaps you need something like rider belt)

Anyway details regarding Squall's IS? I believe it was called Golden Dawn.
A scorpion-like IS capable on unleashing an unbelievable energy field capable of leveling a city.
I searched the wikia but no such details regarding it.

Yeah, Rider belt (either the Sengoku series for normal LS or the Genesis series for energy LS) is needed to use it power. Otherwise using an LS would just summon an Inves.

Which is bad bad BAD idea.
