I really love the song that they played when Seiji was in his bedroom thinking about Midori. How he remebered about the scarf that Midori mad. I think that song was very good and made the situation very sad.

No. You really can't. Or you can, but it'd be like hoping Osamu Tezuka would rise from the grave and make a sequal to Astro Boy.

Actually some people made a new Astroboy series last year even after Osamu Tezuka died long ago, hehe. Of course that's to commemorate its gold anniversary.

I don't think a season 2 will work in Midori no Hibi though. They've pretty much closed the Midori x Seiji relationship, and there is no reason for Midori to go off into another dream and into another coma, because she already has Seiji by her side.

But maybe there is a reason why Seiji hadn't even said 'I love you' to Midori even at the very end of the series...

A bit unrelated, but...

In episode 12, Ayase is having lunch with her two friends, the brown-haired and black-haired ones. Can someone find out who voiced the two? They sounded suspiciously like Midori and Futaba from Green Green. But then again, maybe I'm overanalyzing. I guess it's just that I don't hear too many anime characters with a voice like Midori's (frm GrnGrn! Darnit, theres more than one Midori here!!)

the one thing that was bugging me in the end of the series, during the ending it showed those two together n'such... my question is how did he patch things up with the parents??? what could he say?? "Oh your daughters spirit became my right hand and she accidentally hit her boob trying to merge back with her body??" ...that'll work

i watched this series yesterday and i watched it all until the end... i'm really satisfied with the ending but i got the feeling of a shortness of the story...

rave_master16: I think the series length is just about right. I also read the manga (all 8 volumes of it), and not much more material can be obtained from it should a "remake" of MnH be produced (highly unlikely, but hey...)

A 26-episode would just add the other (wacky and weird) characters in the manga, more scenarios (your Xmas and summer specials are there!), and further develop the characters we do know, like Midori's childhood friend! hehe (manga readers would know what I'm talkin about!)

I thought about this later. Aspbergers is closely related to this.
I have a friend with this and you can't give them a hint - you
have to spell it out or they don't get it. Reading facial expressions
or cues doesn't work. And even those of us without it aren't the
most brilliant.

And yes, she probably would have fainted on the spot. I noticed
after I watched ep13 again that she was stunned by him showing
up at the front gates of her house - why was he talking to her
friend? Why was he walking away? Why did he appear upset?
What is he doing here? Can you imagine?

She probably had a hundred questions racing thru her brain right
then.

Imagine if someone you liked (but were pretty sure they didn't
know you existed) showed up at your front door as if they were
looking for you.

The shock and panic alone would be enough to do you in.

So yeah, after a few days of living with it I think it was smarter.

Otherwise she would have been in an ICU or something.

I read about this anime and thought it was going to be another love comedy, but what I didn't read and/or ignored was the uhhh hand and body..attached..etc..... caught me by total surprise. This is probably why I liked the show so much. It was touching, funny, and quite awkward which made it a pretty awesome series. (which also caught me by surprise) :P
