Confirmed not true more than several months ago. Most people assumed MP mode due to talk of "appealing to a wider audience". We know now such talk refers to the Kinect functionality, and not MP. Bioware has talked about a multiplayer game set in the Mass Effect universe in the future, but has persistently clarified that Mass Effect 3 itself will have no multiplayer.

So sick of people feeling like Multiplayer has to be in EVERY GAME nowadays in order to be fully enjoyable.

I agree with you on this especially with some cases.

I like the idea of multiplayer, I just don't like the fact that they still do split screen. Pretty much everyone has their own TV and internet access to where you do can co-op campaigns at your own houses instead of having to sit next to one another.

Really I'm the opposite I think if a game is going to have multiplayer it should have the option of co-op or co-op online because most people have friends and when I have friends over I want something to do with them, that tends to include playing games.

I wouldn't mind a co-op mode as a form of MP, that'd be cool. But MP like in CoD, MoH or BF not so much. I'd have this sinking suspicion that'd it would some how become the focus of play like those other titles.

I'm supporting Mr Hat and Clogs here. If we have multiplayer similar to CoD, BF, and MoH then people will choose multiplayer over singleplayer anytime. When my brother-in-law bought CoD: MW2, the first thing he did was play multiplayer and it was the same case for Black Ops and never enjoyed the singleplayer experience.
Also a multiplayer for a Mass Effect game would probably lead to many troubles with people building their Sheperds up to being outright cheap. Simply having co-op play with your friend taking control of one of your squad-mates is good enough (or something else concerning that)
